COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with native Pennsylvania neck pumpkins harvested just a few miles from our brewery at Strites’ Orchard, Master of Pumpkins conjures the spirit of autumn by combining roasted pumpkins and traditional pie spices with a French saison yeast. This natural fermentation releases a palate of vanilla, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, and honey. In addition to 750mL bottles, Master of Pumpkins is also currently available on draft and for take-out growler fills in the Tasting Room. Taste it you will see. More is all you need!

Sample pour on tap at brewery in Hershey. Pours a lighter brown with some cloudiness. Aroma of cinnamon and spice. Brown sugar notes as well. Taste is sweet yet balanced by a dry and slightly bitter finish. Not too overdone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very hazy pour between amber and mahogany. Malty aroma with pumpkin spice notes. Big sweet spicy pumpkin pie flavor; very full. Great thick mouthfeel. The best pumpkin beer I’ve ever had!

Served on-tap at the brewery.

A - Pours murky brown with a small half finger tall white head, dissipating down to a light film, leaving spotty strings of lace down the sides of the glass.

S - Smells of pumpkin pulp, nutmeg, ginger, touch of cinnamon, dash of light funk from the saison yeast and some mild caramel and toffee from the malt.

T - Starts off with the pulpy pumpkin quickly being enveloped by the various pie spices, light funk and the mild toffee and caramel sweetness. Finish is rather spicy, lingering long after the finish.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, spicy feel throughout. The booze is rather well hidden, only really coming out of the shadows once it comes to room temperature.

O - A rather nice pumpkin beer. I prefer them to have less spice than actual pumpkin flavor, and this one follows that pretty well. If you like Pumpkin beers this is definitely worth seeking out.

Tastes almost like a Belgium pumpkin. Raiseny plum flavors of a dubble. Mixed with delicious pumpkin pie flavors. Got some zip on the toungue.

25 oz. bottle. Pours a deep amber with an off-white head that settles to a thin film. Plenty of pumpkin-ale spices, really picking up the clove and a bit of sourness. Medium-full body, taste is a little heavy on the clove, probably the heaviest taste I'm getting. Also getting some fresh pumpkin as well. It's good, but I couldn't do more than one, although I can't do more than one of many pumpkins. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared bottle at brewery into tulip glass. Pour is an orange amber color with about a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of sweet pumpkin, nutmeg, ginger and clove. Taste is phenomenal! I get a ginger kick right from the start, then comes the pumpkin pie and spices to round it out. Definitely for the spice-heads. Great offering! I hope this comes around next year.

Out of a corked bottle from brewery. Aroma - Wow. Super complex. Malty, cloves, cinnamon, pumpkin of course. Light embers and a tad smokey (almost peaty) Appearance - They call this a saison, the color is an unexpected brilliant glowing deep orange. Screams fall beer in color. Can’t get over the color. Decent head retention for a saison. Taste - A very spicy beer. Heavy in clove, cinnamon, and malts with a light hint of fruity embers. Nose really contributes to taste. A bit of that smokey/peaty taste in the end. Definitely more of a pumpkin spice beer. Not much of a pumpkin flavor. Palate - Smooth in the front with a small crisp in the back. Almost like eating pumpkin pie. Soft with a light crunch. Overall - Great beer. Wasn’t very sure how troegs would do with pumpkin. With dead reckoning being too hoppy yet nugget nectar being nearly perfect it was hard to tell. Thankfully this beer is nearly perfect. Reminds me of a drunken pumpkin pie laced with bourbon like my dad used to make. Sidenote- Drank 2nd glass with cold Thanksgiving leftovers. Pure ecstasy.
