Pours and orange amber color with a one finger head, very heavy lacing on this brew. Aromas of citrusy hops with a creamy balance. The taste follows the nose, it’s smooth and well balanced. Not a kick of hops yet really good hop profile. Hides the alcohol well. Overall this is a very tasty beer, I would love a case of this to make it one of my regular beers!

Clear amber with foamy of white head that laces really nicely. Lots of pine and citrus aroma. Excellent malt balance taste. Tons of hops yet lots of malt as well. Excellent!
5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 SPDickerman (424) - Texas, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Pours clear amber with a large, compact off-white, almost khaki head. Smells strongly of citrus. Taste is amazing, strong citrus presence and then a lot of sweet malt backbone, like caramel. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Tröegs Nugget Nectar finishes with some bitterness and then some sweetness, following the taste.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 PatBateman81 (152) - Caserta, ITALY - MAY 14, 2012
Bottle 35.5 cl thanks to Aaron. Head is gone aftere minutes, but leaves lacing on glass; remains, until the end, an impressive bright orange, rusty red, amber. Aroma is full of cotton candy, cherries, citrus, mandarin, clementine, with the freshness of those two in particular. Good impact with mouthfeel, drinkability is on TOP; caramel is minimal, carbonation extremely balanced. Malt is perfectly binded with citrus that - differently from usual citric dominance - tends to oranges. Grass, white peaches and apricot notes too. Maybe finish isn’t so intense, but surely long lasting and oriented to the harsh feeling of dried orange and apricots. Dry the sides of mouth. Anyway, this is the perfect amber IPA: like a less powerful Shark Attack, it don’t gives you the slap but a pleasant stroke. Very great example of a not WC-IPA.

From bottle. Aroma is a great mix of grapefruit, pine and a strong resiny hops. It poured a very nice coppery color with a long lasting white head and lacing. Taste is much like the aroma and a slight bitter/sour aftertaste. Medium body that really coats your mouth. Delicious, glad I bought a sixer.

Very hoppy aroma and flavor. Strong. Very flavorful - it’s the kind of beer that you can only drink a few in one sitting.

12 oz. bottle, pours a beautiful clear ruby red / amber with a small beige head. Aroma of piney and resinous hops, heaps of caramel malt to back - smells more like an intensely hopped amber. Flavour is very well-balanced between the intensity of resinous hops and copious highly caramelized malt that provides a medium-to-high sweetness. Very juicy with some oranges and sweetened grapefruit on the finish. Very good.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jethrodium (281) - Berkeley, California, USA - MAY 3, 2012
12 oz bottle. Pours a reddish copper with a three finger white head that has good retention and leaves tons of lacing on the glass. The aroma is caramel, pine, orange, tangerine, and some sugar cookie. The initial taste has quite a bit of caramel sweetness. There is also pine, orange as well some sugar cookie. The finish has a decent bitterness. Medium-full body. Medium carbonation. Not bad, but it certainly didn’t blow me away. I would prefer a little less sweetness.
