LyndaNova (492), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Apr 11, 2009 Cold 22oz bottle: Pours a clear egg yolk orange color with a small, fizzy off-white head that quickly dissolves. Aroma is of sweet malts, light fruits, grass and spice. Taste is of sweet malts with robust hops along with faint notes of light fruits and caramel. Ending is mainly of robust hops flavor. Medium bodied, fizzy and crisp, with good carbonation. ben4321 (946), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 10, 2009 Location: 22 oz bottle from Gilly’s, 4/10/09, Not the first time I’ve had this one, but I’m rating it now.
Aroma: Nice mix of citrus, hops, fruit, and spice
Appearance: Clear amber color, lots of lacing
Flavor: Nice hoppy bitterness, with a good balance from the sweetness
Palate: Solid body, nice mouthfeel
Overall Impression:
Just a really good beer. Definitely worth drinking, a quality beer from a quality brewery. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Apr 10, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Lots of hops in this one. Very nice. Just a hopped up ipa. Balanced nicely with enough sweet malts, but obviously the hops are the standout. Excellent. euserphriendly (163), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 9, 2009 Every year I look forward to the nectar. This year’s offering is just as good as the last. Hops in the nose, on the palate, and in the aftertaste. A great IPA. Svesse (2596), Hässelby, Sweden Apr 9, 2009 (Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 8 April 2009) Amber colour with brief, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, apricots and hints of pine needles. Fruity taste with notes of caramel, orange and citrussy hops. The hop character is less agressive than in the nose. Fairly short finish. Nice hop character, but lacking some of the expected punch. Very nice beer though. douglas88 (1555), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Apr 8, 2009 Bottle thanks to machfive55. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. The aroma, man it’s been a while since I had a hop bomb like this; super sweet hops, mostly citrus notes. Sweet and intense hops in the flavor, full and juicy and citrus-like. The mouthfeel combines with the juicy nature to produce a soft and full flavor and mouthfeel. Like grapefruit served over a melting orange sherbet. No alcohol at all noticed, an awesome beer. floydo15 (7), Pennsylvania, USA does not count Apr 8, 2009 A bit sweet and flat, however tasty and smooth. Not very bitter and not much of a aftertaste. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Apr 6, 2009 Woah boy. This has got some hops. For being as hop strong as it is, its far from dry and bitter, its got a lot of sweet malty flavors. A strong orange color, a nice thick frothy head. Has a little bit pf peach-y flavor.
