JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Apr 6, 2009 Bottle thanks to mreusch. A very nice brew. Orange/amber pour, sticky off-white head. Fresh hops, caramel malt, citrus, grapefruit, pine resin, and some peach. Nice! gsmitty80 (626), Washington DC, USA Apr 6, 2009 Updated: Jun 9, 2009One of the most flavorful beers that i’ve ever had. The hops were in balance and ultra smooth. Very clean mouth feel and palate finish. Although i was drinking out of a plastic cup because i was on a roof, this is one of the best beers i have had in some time. ante (2904), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 6, 2009 Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear amber colour with a small white head. Rich and rounded hop aromas of resin, flowers and grass with undertones of peaches and nectarines. Medoim-bodied with strongly aromatic yet still really rounded flavours of resin, pine, grapefruit, caramel, grass and peaches. Long resinous finish of pine, grass and grapefruit on a solid foundation of caramel, fudge and oranges. Extremely well-hidden alcohol. Neat! sigma23 (217), , Maine, USA Apr 4, 2009 bottle from a friend. pours copper/amber with a thin foam ring. tons of hops coming off the nose with slight sweetness and citrus. taste is gritty and pine with some grapefruit and orange coming through the finish. very tasty and im glad i got to try it! coyotehunter (542), , Michigan, USA Mar 30, 2009 Bottle thanks to MrBunn. Pours a nice copper color with a foamy head that clings nicely to the glass. Aromas are of apricot, pear, and mild soap. Flavors of pine, some grapefruit and apricot...presumably the Tomahawk hops showing through. Very good drinkability, a little sweet, with the finish being mildly bitter. Very good. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA Mar 29, 2009 12oz bottle fresh. Pours a clear orange amber with a thin spotty head. honestly not very attractive for such a high quality brew. Aroma is a complete 180 - fresh, in my face hops that are resiny and piney. Really enticing. Flavors are also popping with freshness and chewy hops. There is just enough sweet malt to keep it balanced, but this is a portrait of hoppy ecstasy. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Mar 29, 2009 .. . you gotta squeeze every penny! .. . 1st beer of the evening .. pours a dark orange .. good head .. caramel hop smell .. sweet and bitter, a nice scene .. an amber?, hell, one of the nicest ’ambers’ i’ve had .. omhper (12147), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 29, 2009 Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy amber, brief head. Lovely lychee aroma. Mid sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel. perfumy canteloupe and lychee. Lovely hop flavours, good late bitterness. Very American and very good!
