Chipper (177), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 29, 2009 Bright orange color with a moderate white head. Big hops, sweet, fruity and citric. Flavor is exceptionally smooth, with the hops being the prevalent flavor. Great brew. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 28, 2009 2009-01-24. Crisp orange-amber body with a modest beige head. (3+) Hoppy aroma is inviting, green herbaceous hops. Pleasant bitterness throughout, modest resin and herbal hops, mild citrus. Average plus palate. I normally like more citrus and less of the green hoppy notes but this was really nice, and super drinkable. More please. Tap at Coles Rare Beer Fest, Buffalo

Bottle. Pours a clear orange amber with a medium sized off white head comprised of small tight bubbles. Pine and citrus hops are abundant on the nose with hints of pineapple. Starts off slightly sweet with a medium thick mouthfeel. Leads into an excellent grapefruit and quinine bitter finish. Really good stuff.
Coltrane (108), South Carolina, USA Jan 28, 2009 Updated: Mar 1, 2009Almost my favorite beer of all-time. Wonderful hop aroma and even better flavorful. Very resiny. Amazingly drinkable for a 7.5 beer. Truly a magnificent beer worthy of its reputation. Radek Kliber (3912), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Jan 26, 2009 Coles Rare Beer Festival

ElDuderino (134), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA Jan 26, 2009 On tap at the Publick House in Brookline, also fresh bottle, but rating from tap. Body is a transparent orange with a tall tight pure white head. Nose is full of fresh spring flowers, wet grass and pine needles. Pallate is interesting to say the least, the front end is still malty and mild but the back is all hops and puckering bitterness. The flavor is mostly a mix of floral notes with some citrus peel, simple syrup, and grapefruit. One of the best hoppy east coast brews I have had to date. afireinside96 (807), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 25, 2009 Bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Clear amber color topped by a diminishing medium sized head. It smells almost like pure grapefruit juice, just hints of pine and grass. The flavor has a rich, pleasant bitterness with notes of grapefruit, caramel, and pine. This beer is altogether too smooth making it quite dangerous. LilBeerDoctor (1475), East Setauket, New York, USA Jan 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear deep orange/amber with a thick, foamy white head. Aroma of grassy and garlicky hops. Flavor of sweet caramel malt and grassy hops with a bitter finish. Nice and drinkable. The hop profile isn’t my favorite, but this is a decent IPA.
