Body is a transparent orange with a tall tight pure white head. Nose is full of fresh spring flowers, wet grass and pine needles. Pallate is interesting to say the least, the front end is still malty and mild but the back is all hops and puckering bitterness. The flavor is mostly a mix of floral notes with some citrus peel, simple syrup, and grapefruit. One of the best hoppy east coast brews I have had to date. afireinside96 (819), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA

It smells almost like pure grapefruit juice, just hints of pine and grass. The flavor has a rich, pleasant bitterness with notes of grapefruit, caramel, and pine. This beer is altogether too smooth making it quite dangerous. LilBeerDoctor (1489), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear deep orange/amber with a thick, foamy white head. Aroma of grassy and garlicky hops. Flavor of sweet caramel malt and grassy hops with a bitter finish. Nice and drinkable. The hop profile isn’t my favorite, but this is a decent IPA.

The smell consists mostly of a citrusy hop smell with notes of vanilla. For being such a high IBU beer this beer is very smooth and the flavors in my opinion are very well balanced. There is a large citrus flavor but it balances well with the nice malt base. The mouthfeel is nice, but it has a slight dry aftertaste and is a little undercarbonated. I certainly look forward to when this comes on tap locally because I wanna try it all night long it is that drinable and that yummy :)

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Draft @ Cole’s. Copper, thin head. Nose is awesome pine & grapefruit skin, surprisingly nice malt. Flavor is strong pine & citrus (lemon/grapefruit w. orange pith). Very nice maltiness serves to heighten the hops. blipp (1637), Newark, New Jersey, USA

Pours golden orange with an off white head. Obviously hoppy, pine and citrus dominate. Enough malt presence to balance. Very nice. 8/4/8/4/16 = 4.0
Bottle: Bright golden orange with an off white head. Outrageous sweet hoppy aroma with citrus fruit juice and pineapple. The flavor doesn’t pack quite the same punch. Relatively well balanced, juicy citric hops, some floral notes, and a nice hoppy finish. Very drinkable. 4/9/4/7/16 = 4.0 tomthompson89 (1471), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
