Squeeze those hops for all they’re worth and prepare to pucker up: Tröegs’ newest single batch brew, Nugget Nectar Ale, will take hopheads to nirvana with a heady collection of Nugget, Warrior and Tomahawk hops. Starting with the same base ingredients of our flagship HopBack Amber Ale, Nugget Nectar intensifies the malt and hop flavors to create an explosive hop experience.

While the brewery considers this an "Imperial Amber Ale" RateBeer considers it an IPA due to the hopping rate. There is no need to send any other corrections on the style.

Growler from Premier Gourmet. Pours a clear copper colour with good-sized cream-coloured head with good retention. Aroma is big floral hops, toffee malt, grains and some pine. Flavour is quite rich‎ with lots of toffee, graininess, interesting floral hopiness and some pineiness. Plus body. Impressive.

At a tasting, smallish head, clear deep orange, aroma of wood woth some biscuit notes and a hint of fruit, a touch sweet biscuity flavor with a shrubby bitterness, Nice and drinkable but too one dimensional.

Pour is a red tinted golden color with a nice white head. Lots of lace on this beer. Nose of pine. Love the hoppy spin on this amber. I am a bit bias because I am a hop head. Great alternative to an ipa.

Pours a dark amber/copper from a bottle. A great danky piney floral nose, balanced with a sweet caramel flavor and a kick of alcohol at the end. Great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a beautiful crystal clear golden orange. Good hop aroma but not overwhelming. Flavor showcases the hops and is very well done. Not over-hopped like many of the hoppy beers on the market yet still very prominent hop flavor. Fantastic!

Can courtesy of Chalemeaux. Thanks, TJ! Pours copper with a big light beige head. I can easily smell the citrus and hop aromas from three feet away after the pour. Slight caramel, but overall dry for an amber. Grapefruit and floral hop. Pine comes in at the finish.

Thanks bro for smuggling a fresh case home through a snowstorm! ... and giving me some ... !! Very clear golden amber pour. Sweet fruit, pine, light bread and some caramel malt. Resiny and quite chewy with a smooth and long finish. Very nice!! A white whale conquered. 15.2
