It’s a shame this is seasonal. Poured hazy orange/yellow with a nice citrusy hop nose. Tasted of grapefruit and citrusy hops in the front that is backed well with malt and bitters fairly nicely at the end. Overall an excellent IPA (imperial amber?)

bottle, thanks to SS, pulpy orange with good foam, aromas of sweet tropical fruit, flavors of bitter grapefruit juice, white sugar, malty bitter finish

12oz bottle from The Liquor Shop in Tyngsboro, Mass. Pours a crystal-clear amber with nearly an inch of off-white head that leaves some decent lacing. Leafy grassy citrussy minty, pithy hops dominate with a good amount of caramel and toffee to balance it out. Citrussy minty pithy grassy hops dominate at first, with plenty of caramel toffee malt, with hints of chocolate and caramel malt to balance this beer and make it not a complete hop bomb, though it’s definitely hop-forward. Super flavorful, no flaws to be found. Medium in body with ample carbonation makes this one very drinkable considering the ABV and complexity. Possibly the best American amber I’ve ever had. Absolutely phenomenal.

(Rating #2580)

Does the name justice to say the least. Amber brew with a good sticky white head. Aroma is promising pure tropical fruit juice, flavour delivers the promised peaches, passion fruit and other sweet fruit but doesnt leave without a solid grassy, piney bitterness to finish things off. Body is rather light and the beer goes down too easy for it’s ABV.

One of my absolute favorites. If you are not a fan of hops then this is not the beer for you. Not a complex beer at all- it gets straight to the point- hops. Very piney aroma and it tastes just like it smells. Nice prickly carbonation without much head. The hop aroma burns your nostrils as you sip from the glass, but the flavor has more of a tang than a bitterness. A very well-done, perfectly balanced ale that’s worth waiting to get only once a year. I also toured the Troegs brewery in Harrisburg. A very nice, down-to-earth bunch of people I must add.

Bottle into pint pint glass. Pours a dark orangey color with medium carbonation and a great 3 finger solid, fluffy off-white head. Lacing is also very nice. The aroma is incredible: you get just a touch of the bitterness on the nose but mostly it’s sweet, grassy, resinous and a little big floral hops. The flavor is a bit more subdued than the aroma but just as tasty. Thin mouthfeel with only a slight bitterness over the palate.

Bomber courtesy of birdiebeagle. Pours a beautiful orange amber color. Moderate white head with good retention and decent lacing. Aroma is fabulous, with lots of piney and floral hops. Flavor is piney hops with plenty of bitterness in the finish. Not as complex and delightful as the aroma, but still a nice IPA. Mouthfeel is a touch on the watery side, but not bad. Plenty of burn in the finish. Nice IPA.
