jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA Apr 8, 2008 12oz, taste is of warrior hops which add substantial bitterness, however, the tastes is quite bright and citrusy, i really enjoyed this nice and floral. tompete (72), Burlington, Iowa, USA Apr 5, 2008 Major cat box in the nose too harsh. Harsh bitterness and bad hop balance. Decently malty but not married well with the hops. Meh. Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Apr 5, 2008 Bottle, Merritt Island Throwdown. Orange-amber color with white foam. Oily palate. Pure hop infusion concentrated extract of hop mellowed and carried by good malt backbone and caramel plus toffee flavors. Very good brew. dmradus (225), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 5, 2008 Fairly opaque dark orange, nice large big-bubble white head that lasts. Good lacing. Excellent balance in the nose: grapefruit, other tamer citrus notes like tangerine, quite flowery, sweet toffee. Taste is a bit tilted to the malt upfront: caramel sweetness, fruits, but in the mid-palate and finish the hops shine through in citrus and a rasping, lasting bitter aftertaste. High carbonation, nice and sessionable. popdoggy (100), USA Apr 5, 2008 Updated: Apr 25, 2008This one is great fantastic ipa. i kinda was expecting a double ipa, but it is not that. i had it at the end of the night so i dont want to write a regular rating... but this was truely special.
DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Apr 2, 2008 A delicious, hoppy but not too hoppy IPA. Golden amber in a pint, a little sweet, a little bitter, just right. Very drinkable and very much worth buying some of. DrHomolka (722), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 1, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours amber color with a nice off-white head. I think this is a couple months old. Wish I could try it fresh but I gotta do what I gotta do. Aroma reminds me of a subdued Hopslam. Sweet, thick fruity hops balanced by a noticeable hop presence. A nice smell though it doesn’t pack the punch that a fresh bottle probably would. Taste is smooth, very drinkable, surprisingly subdued in its bitterness. Alcohol well hidden. This is a very, very drinkable beer. I could see myself drinking a bunch of this. I liked this and hope to try a fresh bottle in the future. coldbrewky (716), Saugerties, New York, USA Mar 31, 2008 Bottle from R-Dog. Pours a clear crisp amber with a swifly settling head. Tangerines in the nose. Lacing minimal. body and mouthfeel are well balanced and not overly hoppy. Make no mistake, the hops are there in force but are not dominant. Went down abnormally fast. A fine pint.
