Palidor19 (1748), Brandon, Florida, USA Mar 25, 2008 Its quite refreshing, a nice caramel flavors with smooth malts and a low intensity of hops. toffee and bread flavors. Very good. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 25, 2008 The aroma is very hoppy with caramel, toffee, and yeast. The appearance is hazy amber with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s good! bubbleflubber (885), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Mar 25, 2008 Orange-amber pour with a creamy head that leaves a nice retentive cap. Good mix of floral and pine hops to the nose. The bitters mix well with the nice malt contingency and slight crisp citrus notes. Lingering bitterness peppers the back palate quite well. Mouthfeel is crisp, yet smooth and easy drinking. Carbo levels match the palate perfectly. This integrates very well, and is probably my favorite Tröegs offering yet. Complex enough, but simply a nice IPA. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA Mar 24, 2008 12oz bottle: Bright amber pour with a thin white top. A really intense and bright hop experience meets the nose. Lemon, tangerine, fresh flowers, rosey perfume, candied orange and on and on. The body is full with caramel malts, balanced by a delicate bitterness that goes from rose petals to fresh squeezed fruit. Finishes sweet and citrusy. Very good. Oak (4), NYC, New York, USA does not count Mar 23, 2008 I had this one on cask and really enjoyed it. Never tried it from a keg so my palate score might be overrated. Poured nice and golden with a good sized head. Smelled very fruity with a strong apricot flavor to me, funny that nobody mentioned that fruit because it was the first thing I smelled. Went down smooth and tasted great with a slight bitter after taste. Would definitely drink this again. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Mar 22, 2008 Pours a clear amber topped by small beige head with nice lacing. Aroma is fruity sweet with grapefruit, orange, pine, pineapple and mango. Flavor is moderately sweet, grapefruit, pine, pineapple and some caramel. Very subdued hop prescence for an IPA, really more of an amber ale. Smooth medium body, fair carbonation. bikenbob (2), Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Mar 21, 2008 One of my winter favorites. I try to carry a few bottles in my checked baggage when I go to the Pacific Northwest and B.C. for my annual ski trip. The full flavour bursts with a fine balance of hops and malt. Brewer101 (162), New Jersey, USA Mar 21, 2008 not bad, but not what i would expect of from an IPA. It doesnt have the strong hop flavor, its a little mind and not much taste. Bit I think that may be cause i’ve had too many tonight. Def worth the alc content right now
