jredmond (1015), New Jersey, USA Mar 20, 2008 12 oz bottle. The aroma is hop, and some body odor. The body is a dark amber orange with small head. Very hoppy taste with some bitter citrus as well. nhorween (639), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 19, 2008 Bottle. Amber-brown pour with a white head that leaves a soapy residue on top. Pretty standard, but very balanced, IPA aroma. Floral and some light vanilla with the malt, but nothing sticks out too much. Maybe a little pithy citrus. Flavor is similar - floral and fresh, strong and smooth hop finish. Very drinkable and balanced, but nothing outrageous. mgumby10 (1843), Jupiter, Florida, USA Mar 18, 2008 Pours a hazy dark orange color, with a smallish off white head. Smells of rich, piney hops, with traces of grapefruit citrus, and bitter malts. Nice aroma. The flavor has a very floral character to it which really complimented the hops quite nicely. Not overdone at all and balanced really well. The hops were the biggest component noticeable, leaving a crisp hop bitterness in the finish and lingering aftertaste. Really refreshing IPA. This would be a staple if I could get this where I lived. Tasty. Sparky27 (1553), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Mar 17, 2008 Another bottle courtesy JB175. Pours a crystal clear dark amber with a nice 2 finger off white head w/nice lacing. Nose is citrus hops with a touch of ammonia? Palate is extremely smooth… could be that I had a Devil Dancer right before this, but this is a really smooth, drinkable IPA. Sweet pineapple and orange upfront, with grapefruit and pine finish giving it a slightly bitter aftertaste with a little sticky mouth feel. Yum. Good stuff. Thanks for this one Jason! Drink4Satan (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Mar 17, 2008 First off, I have to say that this is one of the most quenching, easy drinking beers I’ve ever sampled. It pours and orange/amber clear colour with a microbubble, white head that retains well and leaves rings of lace. The flavour is intensely hoppy with a spicy, citric and piney hop flavour that refreshes like no other. The carbonation is ample yet gentle and perfectly matched for the beer’s medium, airy textured. A near perfect IPA! emerica56 (573), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Mar 17, 2008 Wow what an amazing look this beer has. Pours a clear amber color with a thick head and leaves long streaks of laceing down the side of the glass. The head was well maintained since it was from a growler and the carbonation is not the same for each pour. The aroma was of strong bitter hops and hints of honey. As you sip on the brew you can really taste the acity given off from the nugget hops that were used. It is also filled with rich caramel malt and a mix of amber malt. the finish is just as bitter as the first sip. the head also last the entire duration of the beer. Vas19 (291), Maryland, USA Mar 16, 2008 Updated: Apr 5, 2008Pours reddish amber with a dense white head. Nose reminds me of a bowl of tropical fruits with a little hops mixed in. Awesome citrus fruit flavor with some great hops to round it out. A little dry on the finish but definitely delicious. MrEcted1 (144), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA Mar 16, 2008 Not a bad brew by any means, it just seems like I’ve had it 100 times before. Nice hop profile with citrus fruits. Perhaps a little more hopped then your standard good IPA. Malt backbone supports the hops nicely. Pours a completely translucent amber color. Quite good on the palate, not too watery and not like syrup. Overall an IPA that is quite good, just doesn’t stick out in my mind as one of the best.
