The bottle poured into a standard pint glass produced a good three fingers worth of white head on top of a brilliantly clear amber body .The head dissipated to a nice thin coating of lace that slides down the glass
Aromas’ of pine and spruce it smell like walking in the woods on a nice summer day
Tastes of hops not overly bitter the sweet malts flavors help smooth it out
Nice crisp mouth feel with enough carbonation for your tongue
I’ll say it like everyone else if you’re a hop head you have to try this one. It’s a great beer, but I don’t know if I’d drink more than a couple in one sitting

The aroma was of hops, hops and more hops. This one made my tongue tingle. The flavor had some hints of citrus but it was dominated by the bitter hops. This is definitely a sippin beer, just not my style. johnadam2002 (529), Hainesport, New Jersey, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2008 Thanks Mike. Copper pour, medium white head with lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is grassy, citrus, grapefruit and malty. Flavor is malty, biscuit and crisp tasting. Lots of clean hoppy goodness as with the aromas, grassy and just clean with low bitterness. Biscuit malt on the finish which I love, a hopped up amber is never a bad thing. dsm (109), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Smells of lots and lots of hops. Tastes of hops and grapefruit. Tons of bitterness. The finish is a little strong for my taste. miketd (679), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Good lacing.Aroma of fresh piney hops and just a hint of sweet malt. Very bitter up front...easing into a slightly less bitter middle and finish. Flavor is mostly bitter pine/citrus.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 28, 2008 12oz bottle. Thin quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is lightly hoppy with some pine, but doesn’t smack you in the face in the same way as as most 2IPAs. The hop flavor is where this beer really shines, lots of Summit hops followed up by some well balanced sweet malt and a touch of astringent bitterness. Overall well balanced and a bit dangerous at a deceptive 7.5%. Excellent session beer for hopheads. Speedle (262), Mid-Atlantic (Tour 2007-2008), Virginia, USA
