bbp182 (255), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 26, 2007 This is a great hoppy beer. Hoppy and Malty. You can really smell the fruityness of the hops. It’s up there on the IPA list for me. IrishBoy (2685), Bakersfield, California, USA Jun 24, 2007 Bottle from JB175; Nose of citrus and floral hops; copper-orange with a medium straw colored head; flavor showed lots of sweet caramel with some hop bitterness, well balanced, almost to much malt. This is an IPA I could drink all the time, you don’t notice the alcohol, but it is a little sweet for an IPA. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA Jun 13, 2007 Bottle thanks to adrian910ss poured a hazed orange with a nice cream colored head. Aroma was resinous pine and citrus hops with a good amount of caramel malt to back it up. Flavor was malty yet very bitter and hoppy at the same time. Such a good balance of sweet malts and hops made you want to keep comming back for more. mk70 (62), New York, USA Jun 6, 2007 Updated: Mar 9, 2008Possibly the hoppiest beer I’ve had? Orange amber color and memorable pine nose. Hop heaven! Full flavored and balanced. Too bad it’s seasonal (Feb)as I’d like to try it again to put against some of my other favorites. KAME (154), California, USA Jun 6, 2007 Damn, just lot my rating! Anyways, this brew pours a very nice muddy orange amber with a nice off white head. Aroma is citrusy and sweet, with a piney and oily finish. Flavor is all High Alpha Acid hops with a noticeable malt backbone. Finish is bitter and the body is a bit oily. This brew is alright, but a bit too unbalanced. GuilTTy (527), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA May 31, 2007 Mildly hazy copper pour with a firm off white head and thick ribbons of lacing. Brilliant piney, citrus aroma. Aggressive grapefruit and piney hops mostly balanced with a firm and rich malty backbone. Notes of pepper and burnt toast at the back of the tongue. Creamy texture and a sweet finish with a definate alcohol presence. The line between IPAs and 2IPAs is about as blurred as any line viewed after a few of these, but this really seems like a 2IPA to me. Regardless, its a good beer. green (187), Boston, Massachusetts, USA May 29, 2007 Big fresh hop aroma. Mildly sweet, bit oily. Strong dark fruit and very rich hop flavors. Finishes without much bitterness, slight alcohol, and lingering dark fruit. acearl (207), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA May 27, 2007 From memory, alright, copper color, fairly hoppy, decently nectory characteristic, not too bitter, a decent IPA but not great.
