dmac (1418), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Mar 26, 2007 12 oz bottle. Was a little congested when I had this so I might have to try it again someday. Poured a thin watery looking orangey honey color with a small white head and average carbonation. If you never don’t know what people mean when they say it has a piney hop smell then try this, pure pine resin smell on this with nothing else coming through. Flavor was only hops and water. The hops weren’t strong or overpowering like an IIPA but seemed to be the only ingredient almsot as if they forgot to add the malt. Body was very thin and it seemed more like hop water then a balanced beer. Not horrible but no way near what I was expecting from the ratings I saw. cab (861), Denmark Mar 24, 2007 Bottle. If you dont know what CAT PISS smell´s like then buy this beer and the aroma will give just that smell. But if you can go past that, this is a good beer. BeerBiker (1384), Odense, Denmark Mar 21, 2007 [Bottle from Beermouth tasted with the hop-bros at Jess’ cosy inn.]
Had some fun over this and talked about the smell of fruity cat urine aroma from the cats livingbox. Not the best notes for an IPA (my style). It must be the combination of some fruits such as abricots, grape fruits and flowers which can make it that way. A lightbodied flavor, some watery in spite of the 7,5 %, but it all ends up in a dry finish. beermouth (434), Langeskov, Denmark Mar 21, 2007 Slight reddish/orangey color with light yellowish hue and good white head. Good hoppy bitterness, but lactually lack’s the hoppy aroma. Very fruit like with lemon, peach and spice. Got some grassy aromas and taste. quit thin when you think of the label. golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Mar 20, 2007 Bottle. Aroma of grapefruit and apples. Good palate. Overall the flavor is sweet and fruity (mostly from the hops), and there is some slight bitterness. Nice balance in flavor. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Mar 19, 2007 12oz bottle, no date from Dickinsonbeer, thanks Paul! Pours a clear honey orange with a one finger offwhite head with pretty good retention. Aroma of grapefruit and piney hops, caramel and a bit of toasty malts. Very nice hop aroma. Flavor was a bit more piney with some good earthy bitterness to go with the caramel and toasty malts, followed by some biscuits and a semidry minimally bitter finish. Moderate carbonation with a creamy medium body. This is good stuff. Retorp (2154), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 19, 2007 Courtesy of Jasonmech77. Thanks, Jason. The aroma, while hoppy, was not the nose crinkling, senses jarring experience I’d expected fromt he label depicting a hand scqueezing every last drop of hop oil from a hop cone. In fact I smell me some caramel malt in there. The body is a tea colored amber with a diminishing tan head that leaves copious lacing. Fore is, again, not as hoppy as anticipated. Definitely a hoppy brew, but there is a bracing malt balance and the hops lean toward a kind of essence oil of citrus and pine. Finishes fairly sweet and malty, but mixed with hop bitterness. Drinkable and not the hop bomb I feared. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Mar 17, 2007 Pale Amber Color with White Skin. Nice Easy Balance off Wet and Dry Hops on the Nose...with Light Citrusy Notes as Well. Sweet Malt Foundation and Citrus Notes. Well Balanced Mix of Wet and Dry Hops. Wet Hop Aftertaste with a Slightly Dry Bite. Wonderful.
