| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 23, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with superb beige head. The aroma is dominantly mandarin orange, with several other citrusy-hop tones mixed in, and just a little bit of woody caramel. The flavor is a smooth, light caramel sweetness with a ton of citrus hop flavor (orange, pineapple, lemon, peach). The bitterness is subdued--though definitely present--and the focus is on hop flavor. The finish is some piney bitterness that lingers for a while. This is some tasty beer, right here. Grapefruit and pine. Juicy. Just like I like my IPAs. Flavor is a big blast of grapefruity hops. Light sweetness. Bitter but not overly so. Well balanced. Very nice. Yum. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 22, 2006 Transparent, magnifying orangish-brass in color with a dense khaki grey head shaped like a foam sponge, 1/8" thick, spanning the tulip’s rim. Sweet green hops expel forcefully at first sniff. Smashed hop pellets pump out dry papaya enzymes, grapefruit pulp, bitter orange sheddings, mildewed grass stains and a healthy dose of dextrose. Flavor is fairly true to its namesake. Bitter chords cause a fervent tongue flinch, as orange powder dries the sockets. Pineapple and mango citrus accents are aroused in its gentlest state of suspicion. Slight sulfurous tinge on its way out. Body is abandoned, forsaken by the sand-blasted and date-raped palate. Just enough sticky caramel-cherry feelings to keep it balanced and not defrock its claim as a nectar. Orange pulp takes grapefruit and pineapple to task in the finish, prolifically reaching an agreement to vacate the area and let the IBUs reek further havoc on the taste buds. Thanks for the bottles, Jhop! swoopjones (1932), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 5, 2008 This is like a hopslam on valium. Thanks to my secret bunny for this. Clear amber with 2 finger white head and some nice lacing. Citrus hop aroma. Slightly malty with piney hops. Wonderful peach like finish. Kevin (1920), Colorado, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 22, 2006 Thanks to ilinismitty for this. Pours clear orange amber with a sticky lacing cream head. I’m trying to find another way to say this has a potent hop aroma, I took a whiff and said “whoa” and smiled. A very grassy aroma that hints at sweetness with a syrupy touch to the nose. This is an ender right here. I can drink a few Huber’s after this and think they are hoppy because of the hop burn from this beauty. Strong grass and pine flavor with a toffee background. The alcohol is not noticeable at all, if it hadn’t listed it on the bottle I never would have guessed it was above 6.toffee and grass remain in the finish. A very creamy yet easy to drink beverage. Not the over the top bitter I have experienced from some beers, this is nice hop flavor, not how many ibu’s can I get in a bottle. A nice beer.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 2, 2007 12oz bottle from Artusory. This reddish amber ale poured with a thin off-white head, eliciting a malty aroma. The flavor is unlike anything I have had before. It starts with banana and honey, then quickly goes to piney hops and grapefruit, with a lasting bitterness on the palate. As the beer warms, a distinct caramel malt taste evolves. This indeed a very complex brew, and quite tasty. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 18, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours an ultra clear dark gold with a big white head. Big, lovely floral nose, some pine resin. Thick lacing all the way down the glass. Flavor is, again, floral, some veggie notes, and a piney hoppiness. Finish is bitter, but not overly so, touches of citrus sweetness. Really a nice drinker, you can put away several easily!
