Pours a clear copper bronze color with a wispy white head. Fresh rich piney green lightly grapefruity aroma has some mild caramel malty presence. Body starts with semi-sweet toasty caramel malt and lots of flavorful piney bittering and flavor hops toward a crisp bittersweet finish. This is practically a double IPA.

Amber, clear beer with small off-white head. Cat’s pee, valerian, grapey hopse, sweet oxfat. Again cat’s pee in the taste, valerian and cassis. Hop’s cake, nearly sweet in the aftertaste, rosewater-like. Medium bodied, bit flat. Nice beer, but "Imperial" is ridiculous, but this is definitely "amber" on a different level. Thanks, CK !

Clear orange colour with a small dense white head. Hoppy aroma with floral and pine notes and some pineapple fruityness along a balanced malty sweetness. Hoppy pineapple fruity flavor with a light malty sweetness. Dry finish with pine notes. Thanx to sk8viking for this one.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Light brown head. Impressive sight. Herbal and flowery aroma. Spiced and fruity. Flavour is citric piney and has a herbal and flowery fruityness. Is heavily bitter in the end. Quite easy to drink. Light warming. Full bodied. I really dig this one. Thanks to Mullman for this really really good IPA.

Bottle, from trade with theepeeist. A clear, pale golden beer with a minimal beige head. Resins, pinecones, citrus and a sweetish maltyness in the aroma. Fine bitterness in the finish, with citrus and resins in the initial flavor. Fine malty base. Full-bodied. A quenching and easy drinkable beer blending hops and malts nicely in an unbalanced way. 090828

Any first impressions?
-A crown of foam laces around atop the clear pale orange.
-Toasted malts and orangey, citrusy hops coalesce in the aroma.
-Biscuity malts ably support the orangey, resinous hop flavors.
-The resinous hop bitterness is succulent, lasting as long as you would like it to last.

What if you dig deeper?
-The frothy carbonation suits the flavor spectrum surprisingly well.
-The sweetness of peaches and apricots is appreciated.
-Leafy hops aren’t too aggressive, but make their presence felt.
-Yet another very well-crafted American IPA.

Sampled at Extreme Beer Fest ’06 and from the bottle.

Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells soapy with citrus elements and some straw and grassy notes. Tastes light and hoppy with some nice orangey elements. Bitter finish with a rosey bite.

Cask at Barcade. Wow... this smells incredible. Rich fruity aroma, peach, berry and a soft pininess as well. Soft bready malts and a light fruitiness on the back. Juicy tropical fruit and light pine. Excellent balance of soft lightly wheaty malts and juicy, juicy hops. Thanks EDA for this one! Tap as Spuyten Duyvil. Clear golden beer, thick white creamy head. Aroma is very fruity with strong blackberry/cherry aroma, herbal hops and enough pale malt to back it up. Some faint grassiness. Flavour is moderately hoppy, fruity blackberry with some earthy and grassy notes throughout. Fairly lean-bodied, but is well balanced nonetheless. 3 7 6 3 13
