| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Apr 30, 2007 12 oz bottle, i think this one came from JB175. This is what I call the bonus king of bonus beers. I have recieved this as a bonus at least 5 times, and I thought I may as well rate it now and see if the trend continues. Pours yellow with a one finger pale white head. Aroma is dry and hoppy with not much in the way of west coast pine or any citrus. The taste is sweet, sharp and very drinkable. The softness and smooth silkiness of the palate is really a nice touch. Good work Troeg brothers. daknole (3038), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Sep 23, 2008 Bottle from bigmilly8. Wow I love this beer and want more. Pours a beautiful orange/amber color with a good medium head. Wonderful aroma of pine, caramel, citrus, and malt. Flavor is really amazing. Hops hit you followed by a great malt backbone and then you get some more hops at the end. Complex, well balanced and I need more more more. SledgeJr (3032), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 20, 2007 In the bottle from Inari Wines. Pours a bright orange amber with a small white head. Outstanding aroma of Tootsie-roll-like oranges and chocolate. This has more of a floral and less of a citrus hop aroma. Delicious taste! Thick chewy malty body. Great oranges and chocolate flavor to match the aroma. There’s a huge malt sweetness that bears the brunt of the high hops. Sure, this has big malt, but it also has big hops. It’s balanced, but it’s crazy amped-up balance. In fact, you might say that this one goes to eleven. BMan1113VR (2981), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 21, 2008 Bottle of Nugget Nectar Imperial Amber thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a deep amber orange with a smallish, frothy off-white head. Lots of hops, plums and caramel. Taste is fruity and finishes nice and sweet with caramel and a bit of cereal and a dash of chocolate malts. Syrupy with a slight bit of biting carbonation. Good beer. ante (2977), Stockholm, Sweden
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2009 Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear amber colour with a small white head. Rich and rounded hop aromas of resin, flowers and grass with undertones of peaches and nectarines. Medoim-bodied with strongly aromatic yet still really rounded flavours of resin, pine, grapefruit, caramel, grass and peaches. Long resinous finish of pine, grass and grapefruit on a solid foundation of caramel, fudge and oranges. Extremely well-hidden alcohol. Neat! bb (2976), Martinez, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 3, 2009 Bottle. Rich amber beer with a dark cream colored head. Rich grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and malt flavor with caramel. Medium bodied. Caramel lingers with grapefruit. Nice hop flavor, but I want more bitterness. JK (2968), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Big hop aroma. Lots of sweet malt for balance, on cloudy, dark yellow beer. Heavy palate, but alcoool is hidden. The hops are prominent in this beer, but almost balanced by the malt. A very good ipa.
