Appears cloudy deep orange with foaming lacing head. Hop hop hop aroma blended with some citrus. Flavor is hoppy, citrus... like chewing on hop leaves. Smooth soft palate with a hoppy aftertaste. Do you get the impression that this is hoppy?

Love the carmel/floral/citrus flavors and aromas from this guy. Rich and thick mouthfeel, almost creamy. Look forward to its release every year.

12 ounce bottle poured an orange color with aromas of citrus, pine, light caramel, and some light malt. Flavors are big citrus and pine, a solid IPA with some nice bitterness, a nice beer overall.

Pour a deep clear orange amber with a slowly fading medium white head, some good lacing. Aroma and Taste is of sweet caramel malt, toffee, some good amount of floral citrus hops, fruity, yeast with some tangy grapefruit flavors. A medium body, crisp and mildly refreshing notes on the palate and good carbonation. Finishes with caramel malt, toffee flavors with some good floral citrus hops and tangy grapefruit notes on the end for balance. This is a very good drinking IPA, full of flavor and tasty.

Strike me up as another who doesn’t quite get it. It’s decent, but mostly average. Nothing really stood out to me, but it was nice enough.

February 2010 from bottle. Amber color with a white head. Caramel, hops, pine, citrus and fruity aromas. Awesome mouthfeel, bitter finish. One of the better IPA’s out there.

Beer has a glowing amber color and is a bit hazy. Smells delicious notes of citrus. What can I say I love the way it tastes it hits you with a citrus grapefruit like burst of sweetness then bitters out to this dry earthy piney taste that I love.
Only wish it was around all year

Smells malty, maybe nutmeg like spice smell, and slight hop smell. Well balanced and full flavored. Hops are balanced by the malty. Taste is not overly hoppy, moderate. Not the piney bitter finish. Does taste like a well made imperial red with some additional hops. Enjoyable for sure.
