Troegs should make this a year round choice, seasonal doesn’t cut it. It’s too good

Oxidized hop aroma. Clear Amber with excellent foam. Dank hop taste. Perfect palate. Dry finish. Underwhelming. I was expecting more.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Appearance- lightly carbonated. Fairly clear. Amber, copper hue. Big foamy bone white head with very good lacing.
Smell- caramel, malt, bread. Mildly piney. Biscuity.
Taste- superb! Well balanced hops. Mild to moderately spicy. Mildly resinous.
Mouthfeel- medium. Moderately bitter. Dry. Smooth.
Overall- excellent!!! Highly recommend. An epic shame it’s not a year rounder. Load up on it when the opportunity presents. It’s an Imperial Amber to look at, for sure, but drinks like an imperial IPA, and a superior one.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(draught) pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a frothy light beige head. aroma of oranges and cornflakes, slightly resinous, with a hint of caramel, nettles, lots of mango, strawberries and passion fruit. flavour is more cornflakes, strawberries and caramel, with a hint of alcohol in the medium-bitter herbal-hoppy finish. medium- to heavy-bodied with soft carbonation.

From BA review on 3-3-12 -
Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a very beautiful deep amber color with a big billowy just off white head. The head has some very nice retention lasting some time, which after fading leaves some nice lacing.
Smell – In the front of the nose is some nice citrus aromas. These mix with some more piney aromas and a bit of roast malt aroma. The aromas are nice.
Taste –There is a smooth malt flavor up front which is quickly engulfed by some hoppiness. The hoppiness is mainly citrus in nature, but some more earthy tastes are present as well. The pine hops come in more toward the end. To finish, the end of the taste is rounded out quite nicely with a little bit of sweetness of caramel.
Mouthfeel – The mouthfeel of this one is very nice. It is much more creamy then I would have originally anticipated. The creaminess coasted the tongue while the more mild level of carbonation enhanced the feel on the tongue. Very soothing and nice.
Overall – This is a nice brew, but I think it is a bit overrated overall. It has a very nice look and mouthfeel and the flavors are very smooth, but for something touted as being a “hopheads nirvana”, it was a bit mild to be a nirvana, maybe just a paradise.

Nice creamy head. Dark orange in color. Hoppy and citrus sweet. Nice combination. The strength of the hops leave a bitter after taste. Overall a nice combo.

12 oz bottle into tulip. Thanks Justin! The pour is a solid amber color with a nice white head and some good lacing. The aroma is pretty floral, but not as hoppy as I'd like to see. It's definitely got some solid malt notes. There isn't a whole lot going on, but it's solid. The flavor is pretty good. It's not overly dominant in any fashion. There is a light bitterness up front and then it fades through a nice maltiness, but there isn't a whole lot of dominating factor there. The mouth feel is pretty solid, with a nice carbonation, but a thin aftertaste. The flavors don't linger excessively long, but it's pretty good
