Bottle courtesy of MrChopin. Pours light copper with a thin white head. Smells of tea, pepper, earth. Tastes of dry malt, light citrus. Mouthfeel is dry with a pilsner malt finish.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 hopson (633) - Williamsville, New York, USA - OCT 27, 2008
draft at brewpub- not bad, but not a favorite in this category- good initial hop flavor, but a bit thin in terms of moutfhfeel followed by some co2 nastyness- would try again, but not blown away.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 cking (1175) - North Canton, Ohio, USA - OCT 27, 2008
Light copper/dark gold color sporting a 1/2’’ bright, white head and crazy thick lacing. Fruity hop aroma with a splash of pine. The aroma is calm and faint, you have to go diving to pick up the scent. Mildly bitter, on the lighter side for the style with an empty finish. Nutty and fruity with orange and grapefruit flavors coupled by some pine. The taste is there, but again it’s too faint. Not impressed, give me the Hop Back Amber please.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pastor (700) - Maine, USA - OCT 25, 2008
Bottle poured into a pint glass produced a good two fingers worth of head that turned to a thick lace across the glass. The body of the brew was a clear copper to gold in color
Aromas of nice fresh hops hit my nose first then a light sweet bready, caramel note soon followed.
My taste buds appreciated the well balanced flavors of this brew not to bitter not to sweet. A nice rounded Pale light in the mouth and crisp on the tongue
Very drinkable a nice sessionable brew was a great lunch beer with my sandwich. I would drink this one again

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 fiver29 (1014) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - SEP 27, 2008
Bottle pours amber with a off white head. Has aroma that starts with a little malt and finishes with a slight hop twang. It does not have a very interesting aroma for the style. Has a light to medium body. Taste or flavor has little to be desired. Harsh malt flavors with a slight hop profile round out a very uninteresting beer. Overall this is not a very good beer.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 biznizness (1047) - Mooresville, North Carolina, USA - SEP 20, 2008
This is an extremely good pale ale, durn near the best pale ale I can remember having. If I still lived in PA, this might be my go-to brew, but down here, I’ll have to settle for Sierra Nevada if I want a good pale ale.
