COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tröegs Pale Ale is an American style Pale Ale that is aggressively hopped with Northwest Cascades and balanced with Belgian crystal malts to create a hoppy, copper-colored crisp ale. An excellent example of a classic American Pale Ale.

Bottle. Caramel color with hint of orange. Thick, off-white head; ample lacing. Hoppy aroma with pine and citrus. Refreshing malt up front with strong hop presence. Pine and citrus hoppiness with slight resin finish. Excellent pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BOD 8/17/14. Clear light amber pour that is slightly darker than golden. Very nice head with normal lacing and retention. Light nose of citric and floral hops over a light biscuit. Light medium bodied with an almost slick texture. Perfectly carbonated with an exceptional effervescent finish. The flavor profile is exceptional - intense, balanced, clean and somewhat complex. It begins with a wave of blended hop flavor (pine, citric and a touch of spice) over a light biscuit background. The middle is a medium bitterness that is mostly pine, but also has grapefruit rind aspects, which fades into a very light caramel. The finish is quite effervescent and yields a nice dryness. A mild bitterness lingers that has a bit of pepper and caramel sweetness. An outstanding Pale Ale.

It has a light golden honey color with good clarity. On top is a just off white head which slowly fades from an inch thick cap to a wispy thin film covering. The aroma has a sweet bready, almost honey like maltiness with a touch of leafy herbal hops. Flavor wise it is very close to the nose with a firm medium body of bready sweet and light caramel/honey maltiness with a light touch of herbal hop bitterness. Its easy drinking and smooth on the plate.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with white head. Crisp, hoppy, citrusy, slight grassy, bitter aromas. Balanced, hoppy, citrus, resiny flavors. Very crisp, balanced, refreshing, and drinkable. One of the better pale ales I’ve had in awhile.

Pours a sharp and clean straw gold with two fingers of sticky off white head. Nice aroma with a grassy hop note and light biscuity malt backing. A touch of citrusy hops shows as well. Very clean and pleasant in the flavor with a dry and zesty bitterness. Citrus rind and grassy hops with a touch of bitterness on the finish. Very nice and refreshing.

Tap sampler at Troegs in Hershey, PA. Overall very pleasant, but the hop punch is overdone. Very crisp.

A nice golden straw color that is clear and with avg. carbo’s.A white foam cap that fades to a ring around the edge of the glass. A good hoppy aroma greets you followed by a bready malt aroma. A balanced beer with neither malt or hop winning out. Just enought malt with a sweet bready taste and just enought hops to hold up the malts. Hops are slightly citrusy in taste. A nice refreshing beer one could drink on a regular basis. It is also a good crossover beer for drinkers of those other beers. A good fresh tasting, balanced, filling, beer
