COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tröegs Pale Ale is an American style Pale Ale that is aggressively hopped with Northwest Cascades and balanced with Belgian crystal malts to create a hoppy, copper-colored crisp ale. An excellent example of a classic American Pale Ale.

Pours a browned orange with a tall fluffy tan head. The aroma is predictable. Hops, citrus fruits, and light malts. The taste orange and lemon mixed with some pine and a hint of malt. The orange seems dominant. Very citrusy, nonetheless. The finish is bitter but not too mouth puckering. Pretty good IPA.

(Rating #4702)

This is a pretty good ipa, but there is something off about the aroma. Up front you get the typical floral, citrus smell, but then on the back end there is a strange skunky smell that is really off putting. I was hoping that this would be a pretty easy to drink session pale ale, but it’s not. It’s pretty bitter and then the aroma doesn’t make up for that.

Pours a golden color with 2 fingers worth of head that retains for a very long time and leaves some nice lacing. Pleasantly hoppy, with a nice grassy and floral presence and a good malt backbone. Simple, but nice. Follows the nose. Lightly sweet malts meet floral, earthy hops. Lightly bready. Not too much beyond that. Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A nice, highly drinkable pale ale with a great balance of hops and malts. Quite simple, but it is a pale and not an IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Innocuous pale ale without much going on. Probably nice for a session. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very solid pale ale that has a distinct taste and aroma. Troegs always puts forth a great effort! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear and golden with some friendly bubbles coming up from the bottom. A faint finger plus a little more of foam that fell pretty fast to some sticky lace. Nose is amiable, bright with cascade hops, juicy and fruity with some grass underneath. Malt is deliciously sweet on the nose with biscuit, bread and honey. Taste is crisp, light with a mild astringency and a grainy aspect of the malt sweetness. Broad leafy hops give a touch of bitter and a kiss of orange while the malt stays ample and sweet. This is an enlivening pale ale that keeps it’s bitterness in check leaving the palate open to a variety of foods. So far Troegs is a go to brewery for good session beers.

Pours slightly hazed orange-amber with a puffy, off-white head. Scent is orange, caramel malt. Taste is mildly bitter orange peel. Ok...but a bit bland.

Bottle. Orange-caramel malt and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Sweet orange and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Light body. Okay - average.
