Perpetual IPA (Imperial Pale Ale, not India Pale Ale). In our constant evolution as a brewery, we’ve developed a drive to meld artisanal and mechanical. Perpetual IPA utilizes our hopback and dry-hopping to engineer a bold Imperial Pale Ale. We’re always testing the boundaries of modern brewing.

Clear why this is Troegs most popular beer. (If you get a chance to visit their brewery in Hershey PA, do the guided tour). Big pine and citrus aroma. Delicious hoppy taste with a bitter malt finish. Light carbonation so it goes down smooth, which makes it dangerous because that 7.5 can creep up on you. Very good beer.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Freezer chilled. Big fluffy 3" head is rather slow to dissipate. Some lacing. Nice strong fresh aroma with notes of citrus and pine. Taste is lightly sweet, medium bitter with a crisp finish. Strong hoppy notes of citrus as well as lemon grass and some floral and light spruce. Average carbonation, thin texture and average carbonation. Overall enjoyably refreshing IPA.

Very fragrant with citrus, floral, and candy watermelon prominent. Slightly sweet with mild bittering finish. Clean and balanced level of carbonation. Somewhat delicate, it doesn’t seem to stand up as well with food.

Draught @ Albion. Clear dark orange with small off-white foamy head, faint grassy hops arima, low carbonation, slightly sweet hoppy taste, long finish with lightly bitter ending. Quite smooth and accomplished as an IPA.

Pours clear gold. Nose of citrus and pine hops, dry with good malt backbone. Not as aromatic as I’d expect and this is pretty fresh. Smooth and easy drinking.

bottle into a Stella chalice best by 09/21/2015 A: Pours a rich orange tinted gold with not much of a head but nice lacing. S: Grapefruit pith and some lightly roasty bread. Light scent overall T: More pith than grapefruit in flavor with a good malt taste underneath which saves this beer in my opinion. Nothing else to report but alcohol which doesn’t seem to bring any flavor. Underwhelming as are most "imperial" things I have tasted. M: Good medium heft and average carbonation. O: Seriously not my cup of tea. Not much scent. Taste not terribly good. Oh well...
