3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Throws a near-clear deep yellow, under a finger of fully diminishing white head. Big aroma of caramelized malts and resiny/fruity US hops. Smooth and chewy in the mouth. Healthy body. Taste is substantially bitter. Not overdone, with piney and fruity flavors, and a rich semi-sweet malt body to back the bitterness. An archetypical American IPA. Good stuff. 3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Ledo. Pours a clear dark golden with quickly fading head that leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is hop bitterness, slight lemon citrus and muted malt notes. Flavor is classic IPA, with hop bitterness and solid malt backbone. Alcohol is not masked, which leaves a slight finish of booze and acidity.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz can popped in our RBSG Hotel Room courtesy of a coworker. Thanks, Tony. Pours a decent golden orange hue, gentle haziness with foamy offwhite head, big cakey layer with good stick around, nice lacing. Aromas are firmly hoppy, more floral, some decent soap and grass meet some grapefruit rind, a bit of bread, clean and hoppy. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a bit grainy with some melon, gentle white grape. Some gentle florals, a bit odd and yeasty into the backend, some florls, firmer bitterness and sweeter bready malts, a touch of biscuit. Backend is a bit bitter, grapefruit and some oxidation, deadened hops, gentle fruit elements. A firmer hopping, not as enjoyable of a combination for me. Touches off bread, gentle sweetness and earth. Bitter, pithy grapefruit. Not bad but too big for me overall.

Can shared by Adam, thanks! Pours a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a combination of musty grains with a some pine hops and a hint of grass. Flavor has musty grains and pine with a hint of onion.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great beer. Reminds me of a California ipa. Not quite as much pine, but nearly the same. Pine and citrus on the nose and the palate. Like this a lot.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Transfer from BA review on 6-14-13 -
Poured from bottle dated 5/25/12 into pint glass
Appearance – The brew pours a golden amber color with a big white head. The head has huge bubbles entrapped within. These bubbles very slowly pop over time leaving a very nice level of lacing
Smell – The smell is a wonderful mix of citrus sweet and bitter hop. There is a nice sweet tangerine aroma which counteracts a very good dose of bitter grapefruit and a more sour lemon. Mixed with these is also a light bready and a good piney and floral hop aroma as well. Overall it is very pleasing.
Taste – The taste begins of a heavy malt taste mixed with a very strong grapefruit hop flavor. While the nose suggested sweetness, the flavor in the beginning is on the drier side and only gets drier as the taste moves on. Toward the middle of the taste some lemon and herbal hop flavors come to the tongue. These linger and grow stronger to the end. Finishing off the taste is a dose of pine hop. This flavor however seems to battle with the others on the tongue and in the end leaves a somewhat unpleasant grassy and lipid/trub taste in the mouth.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is on the creamier side with a lower level of carbonation. The creaminess suits all the hoppy flavors quite well, while the lower carbonation accentuates this creaminess.
Overall – This beer was fantastic on many fronts. It had a great look smell and feel, and the taste for the most part was a pleasant dry hoppy flavor. Unfortunately the taste left on the tongue at the end was not too pleasant and really pulled away from the overall drinkability.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not bad, but not the best thing Troegs has to offer. On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings. Golden color, lots of carbonation, creamy lace. Muted aroma. Almost nothing for the nose. Somewhat sweet forward taste, strong floral bitter finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce can. Honey gold color. Big rocky off-white head. Floral hop aroma is redolent of citrus and pine needles. Flavor upfront is sweet caramel malt and toasted nuts. Mid taste is spicy hops with notes of earthy twang. Spicy, dry finish highlighted by a bitter grapefruit hop confluence that brings in hints of cinnamon and cardamom. This is one tasty brew. Go for it!
