At Tröegs, artisanal meets mechanical in a state of IPA we call Perpetual. Cycling through our HopBack vessel and dry-hopping method, this bold Imperial Pale Ale emerges rife with sticky citrus rind, pine balm and tropical fruit.

12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass. Slightly hazy rustic golden color with a decent steady white head. Grassy and piney nose, with some bitter citrus, fresh bread and apricot jam. Juicy hop flavors, hi bitterness, citrus peels, pines, some bready maltiness, faint nuttiness, and minor medicinal notes. Med-full body, nice lacing, alcohol well hidden and long finish. OK.

Floral IPA. More sweet than bitter, but has a heavy oatmeal finish. Two very intriguing accents to combine, but it works.

Another Double India. On the surface this one isn’t that extreme. Nose of citrus and sappy pine. Crisp looking clear orange. Citrus rind bitterness and sharp sweetness too. Palate gripping and drinkable at the same time, relatively speaking of course. Good sinus clearer, not a rube goldberg device, but certainly complex enough for most hop lovers.

Long Island, NY - 12 oz. bottle poured a clear dark golden color with white head and minimal lacing. The hoppy effervescence spewed from this brew. Aroma is of course hoppy with floral notes. Taste is initially sweet malt followed by bitter hoppy goodness. A solid IPA! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours quite clear-golden in color with a nice sudsy, pure-white head. Sharp pine-citrus hop aroma. A drier taste, leaves you thirsting for more; light bodied but hop heavy with some light earthy tones. A bit of farm funk on the back side. Overall a nice drinker. -Fish!

Bottle:   Bright straw, a little fiery, lively carbonation, large pillowy white head, nice lacing.   Fresh citrusy nose, slightly candied.   Less sweet on the tongue than the nose suggested, pithy, citrus peel, slight pine.   Seems to have a fairly decent body.   Big pithy finish, citrus peel, and caramel malts.   Not an example that is out of bounds, but what it is comes across as a solid example of a good IIPA.

Bottle in NYC sept 2012. Clear pale golden beer with an offwhite head. Fruity aroma with some hey and spicy notes. Hoppy, fruity flavour with some berry and perfume notes. Lovely bitterness :-)

12 oz bottle. Pours an amber/gold color with a one finger white head. Spotty lace. Nice aroma of peaches, mangos and apricot. Flavor continues with the fruit theme only a bit more grapefruit. Some caramel undertones. Full bodied with prickly carbonation. Typically bitter finish.

Seemed nearing its best by. Low bitterness, some citrus and pine, dry hopping is worn off.
