COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Perpetual IPA (Imperial Pale Ale, not India Pale Ale). In our constant evolution as a brewery, we’ve developed a drive to meld artisanal and mechanical. Perpetual IPA utilizes our hopback and dry-hopping to engineer a bold Imperial Pale Ale. We’re always testing the boundaries of modern brewing.

Aroma of green hops and piney notes.....pours a clear medium golden color. Taste hits with green hops in the nose, citrus and pine notes, maltiness in between then lingering bitterness at the end without the oily hop residues many other high hopped brews have, which is a pleasant surprise.

I’m a novice when it comes to IPAs, so I’m not sure i can tell the difference between this Imperial and India Pales. Smooth mouthfeel. Easy to drink.

Pale gold color. Tropical fruit notes, almost white wine-like. Well-balanced, with a light mouthfeel. Finishes clean with a lingering bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light amber in color with a full, malty aftertaste. Floral hop aroma with a medium hop finish. Slightly higher alcohol results in a boozier taste than desired in an IPA.

Pours an orange amber with a foam white head. Aroma pine, citrus nice hop aroma. Taste good hop flavors follow aromas, with some malt sweetness and good hop bitterness on finish

Bottle, as pictured. Pours a clear gold, not much carbonation. Smells a bit piney, very grassy. Taste is similar but not too hardcore hoppy. I have no idea how fresh this is, but I don’t think it’s TOO old. Not bad, but doesn’t hold a candle to fresh Nugget Nectar (but what does?).

My Bottom Line :
Citrusy hop resins meet lightly biscuity and caramelized cereals in this friendly IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam covers the pale gold.
-Mouthfeel is lean and conducive to big gulps.
-Resinous bitterness is leveled to the rest of the flavor profile’s medium intensity.
-Don’t know if this was a freshness, but I thought this IPA of Troegs’s had much less character than their Nugget Nectar (for example).

Bottle.

This was a very good standard IPA. very subtile floral hop taste, which is what I prefer. Not too bitter, very smooth and drinkable for a 7.5%

Draft at brewery. Light amber clear thin head. Nose of big hops, bitter . Taste is big bitter hoppiness with a touch of sweet malt. Dry finish. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

really great aroma, bursting with tropical fruit and a bit of resin-y hops. flavor is nice also, very light on the bitterness, maybe a touch too mild. clean and smooth though, bitter finish. this is a nice one. a little more malt character would make it excellent.
