Perpetual IPA (Imperial Pale Ale, not India Pale Ale). In our constant evolution as a brewery, we’ve developed a drive to meld artisanal and mechanical. Perpetual IPA utilizes our hopback and dry-hopping to engineer a bold Imperial Pale Ale. We’re always testing the boundaries of modern brewing.

Appearance is a clear amber with medium white head. Aroma is a more sweet hop. Taste is certainly bitter, but hidden underneath a sweet earthy hop. Overall a well balanced IPA.

Bottle at home (thanks to an IP trade with Kurt) 18/12/12 (bottled 3rd Aug 12). Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin white head that soon clears to a film and doesn’t even socialise with the edge of the glass - how rude! Nose is dominated by caramel malt, pine, citrus, touch of biscuit. Taste comprises hops, bitter grapefruit, orange pith, caramel malt, pine, sweet sugars. Medium bodied, light spritz in the carbonation but not too detract from an enjoyable mouthfeel, bitter finish. Decent well balanced IPA.

12 oz bottle, Whole Foods Columbus. Straw color, big beige frothy head dissipates into small ring; medium lacing. Aroma citrus, bready, pine, strongly bitter. Flavor is instant and endless bitter; far overhopped for the amount of malt, there is no balance in this one at all. Medium body, slick, oily. Throw another imbalanced, overly hopped IPA onto the pile and let everyone go gaga over it... whoop dee doo.

Light citrus aroma pours well, nice head but not long lasting. Blond / orange color. Fresh light IPA taste.

Bottle. Pours clear butterscotch with a medium white head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is fairly light grapefruit, cat piss, pine, caramel. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet, medium bitter, with the bitterness coming on in the finish. Medium body, but creamy, almost oily, in the mouth.

The hops really shine in this beer, with a sweet floral aroma, and a floral hop flavor.

Pours a golden amber with a medium off white head slowly dissipating to a razor thin lasting through out with moderate lacing. Aroma of floral citrus hops, grapefruit, caramel malt, yeast and fruity notes. Taste same as aroma with some flavorful tangy grapefruit notes. A medium body on the palate, good carbonation with a smooth sweet bitter tangy mouth feel. Finished with sweet caramel malt, yeast fruity balanced by some floral citrus hops with a slightly tangy grapefruit ending. Overall a very good, flavorful and solid IPA.
