4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from bottle. Aroma of hop, ocean, soap, citrus. Looks just like an IPA should - gold/amber with a lasting white head. Hop flavors are citrus, floral and pine. Malt is more roasted than sweet. Dry, refreshing feel with just the right amount of carbonation. Very drinkable for an imperial IPA. Another impressive brew from Troegs.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear gold with a minimal white head. Smells of resin, spruce, citrus. Taste is super-bitter, very hoppy indeed. A bit too much for me, but definitely well represented of the style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer pours a clear sparkly yellow-gold color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is hoppy with notes of citrus and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character and flavors of grapefruit and sweet malt. The finish is hoppy with a fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is loaded with pine and citrus hops and plenty of caramel malt. The appearance is golden with a foamy head. The taste is like the aroma with an astringent bitterness. The palate is a tad thin. Overall a good example of the style.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Has a fresh hop aroma that is not overly perfumy. Looks surprizingly like a pale lager with a thin creamy head. I’m not sure why this is listed as an IIPA because I’ve tasted many ipa that were much more rude. Interestingly enough there is some co2 in there which makes it somewhat palatable. Yes, long bitter linger as expected. Anybody feel like chewing on green grapefruit rinds and pulp? How about we first rinse our mouth out with pine spruce tar and dish soap? Yes, a certain mouthcoating experience. On style fer sure for an IPA, not a DPA!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
20120703 12oz bottle from Friendship WL. Good IPA that reminds me of what I imagined 90 Minute to have been back when I’d not had many good IPAs. Plenty of C hops to keep me happy, but sweeter than I’d want for a regular drinker. As usual, Troegs brings the solid stuff.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
very bright yellow/gold with pillowy white head. Pine, grass and hop resin dominate the nose, nothing lavender like or perfumery and any discernable citrus is on the grapefruit rind end of the spectrum. Taste is the same, all out pine assualt, dry finish. This is the most ruination-like offering brewed on the east coast. This is hop juice all the way and from Troegs, they have been reluctant to suppress the malt like this. Picked up by chance on a trip through Jersey on the advice of a patron.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a clear, deep straw color with a white head that was initially 2 fingers, but faded to a ring quite fast. Aromas consist of really sweet citrus, mango pineapple, grapefruit and melon. Aroma is amazing. Simple fucking amazing. The first sip cuts through all my preconceptions and mischaracterizations of what an east coast IPA can be. The bitter fruitiness is right up there with the best of them... This rivals any IPA I’ve ever had, and honestly, the price is so right that this may be my new favorite IPA.
They classify this as a DIPA, but it’s really not. It’s a world class IPA. Period. End of. This beer is blowing me away with every sip. Better than Nugget Nectar. Yeah, I said it.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Circa, High Bridge, NJ. Clean lines. I ended up with one of the first pours of this nice new beer in NJ! Beer pours golden amber in color, nice hoppy aroma and medium head retention. Smooth and crisp for an imperial. Malt is perfect for the hoppy attack. Only issue for me was that the finish was a tad more bitter than I would prefer. Solid imperial IPA.
