Perpetual IPA (Imperial Pale Ale, not India Pale Ale). In our constant evolution as a brewery, we’ve developed a drive to meld artisanal and mechanical. Perpetual IPA utilizes our hopback and dry-hopping to engineer a bold Imperial Pale Ale. We’re always testing the boundaries of modern brewing.

Bottle. Clear golden color thin white lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and floral. Not real strong. Medium sweet taste. Medium-light body, thin texture, medium dry hop bitterness. Nice Ipa but not upper tier.

Bottle. Semi cloudy dark yellow, orange tint. Floral and citrus aroma. The taste adds light malt with a lemon hop punch and medium bitterness. A little sticky. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 12 oz can. Pours a light, clear gold. Great aroma of citrus and floral. Taste is not overwhelming but still good. Definitely a good one.

Cloudy orange pour. Aroma is floral. Funky and hoppy. Taste is grapefruit, orange and bitter hops. Mild carbonation, thick velvety mouthful. Complex smooth. Very good imperial pale ale.

12oz bottle from Brewmaster’s in Wilson. Golden hue, light murky clarity with almost fully diminishing white fizzy head. No lacing. Grapefruit, lemon, light sweet malt (as it warms) aromas. Light bitter floral taste up front with more of a citrus/grapefruit hop finish. As the beer warms the taste of grapefruit hop goes from start to finish. Very lively carbonation on the palate. A really solid IPA!!!!

Troegs never fails to impress. Their IPA (Imperial Pale Ale) delivers an Americanized hops bill that piggybacks on an English malt base. Fruity but not citrus, resiny but not piney, the hops play a lead role in the aroma. But lo, the malt is not to be outdone. Its a push-pull battle to the very end when, at the finish, the hops throw a bitter smack across the palate then bow out gracefully in a clean slick finish. Let’s not forget the clean golden appearance or sticky wads of Belgian lace that grace the drinking vessel either. I wish this one was Perpetually in my fridge.

Bottle. Orange color with a white head. Smell is really fruity, citrus notes, grass, typical IPA smell. Taste is bitter, yet easy drinking. A top notch IPA that just adds a new beer into the rotation of purchases.

Aroma of corn meal, resin, toast & methane. light yellow with modest white head. Thinly bitter with light malt. A disappointment from Troegs.

Pours clear, golden and lighter bodied. Aroma of pine needle, overripe pear, dried mango slices, caramelly sweet malts. Fruity and resinous notes. Flavor is bitter, biting and dry. Earthy, pine forward hops are present with what I detect to be an English malt base. Fruit notes in the nose are a little lost in the flavor. A nice go-to IPA to have in the fridge for a hop fix.
