4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ar: Lemon, red grapefruit, hints of sap and pine.
Ap: Clear golden - medium white head with good retention and a nice cap of lacing.
T: Light sweetness with orange and pine up front - lemon, grapefruit rind, and hints of berries (strawberry and blueberry) - high bitterness, but very clean - finish is citrus rind and a little mint.
P: Medium body with medium-high carbonation - finish is firm and dry.
O: Stellar 2xIPA - intense and complex mixture of a bunch of wonderful American hop aromas and flavors and superbly drinkable - really showcases the hops.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft @ Parish Cafe, Boston, MA. Pours a dark yellow color with a fluffy white head. Nose is very fresh, grassy and floral hops with a light citrusy note. Palate is light and playful, with a refreshing finish. Flavors of citrusy hops, grassy hops, some light biscuity malt notes.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Mugs Ale House in Williamsburg. Wasn’t a big fan of this one. Yellow gold, big white head. Rosemary and herbs, hops, sour dry lagery hop body. Sparkly and dry, OK.

Had a pint on tap. Excellent stuff. Just a very well-balanced API, with balanced hoppiness and alcohol that didn’t show.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
355 mL bottle. I was surprised to see this beer listed as an IIPA here. It’s gotta be a mistake. I would rate this highly as an IPA, but it does not stand up as a double. It’s a good IPA, or very good pale ale, with resin and citrus in the aroma and flavour, and a decent if uninteresting malt backbone.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Served on tap at rattle n hum nyc. Nose was more faint than anticipated but the surroundings are crowded. All I got is pine. Poured light carmel color with tiny lacing (if any) and a thin week head. Not exactly what I was expecting based on other reviews. Taste is mild hops, some citrus & some biscuit. Overall just seems like a clean pale ale but not particularly special. Aftertaste was lingering dry bitter.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thin bright white head of fine bubbles that reduces rather quickly. Awesome aroma with lots of pineapple, sweet malts, citrusy hops and some cereal grains. Color is a bright golden orange with a slight haze. Flavor is lots of hops but offset with a decent bit of malt. Herbal hops flavors, more citrus fruit and some straw and chalky grains. Decent lingering bitterness. A pretty good and tasty IPA. A decent brew to add as a staple drinking brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Courtesy of Summer Secret Santa 2012! This is a solid stronger pale ale. I wouldn’t really call it a strong IPA, but that’s just me? Well, I agree with the brewery. So, yes, it’s a stronger pale ale not an IPA. Anyway, there’s a cheese and biscuit set of qualities here that really has a grip around the hops. The lacing is minimal and the head is too, revealing itself as pretty soapy. I really enjoy this, but I believe it’s not categorized right! I mean, I’m spoiled over here in ’frisco with all the *real* IPAs :o)

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle. Pours light golden with a thick long lasting rocky white head. Aroma is nicely citric, some tangerine, a bit piney and herbal. Flavor starts with some of the same piney herbal a touch cheesy hops, notes of resin and floral character before a bitter and slightly bready finish. As its warming its tasting more english, a bit more malt coming through and the herba; hop character. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Not bad, dont love the finish, but drinkable

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Pours a pale gold, definitely making certain that it’s an Imperial Pale Ale, not an India Pale Ale. Slight head that fades to thick lacing. Big fresh hops aroma. Very smooth, crisp hops taste. Easy drinking. Doesn’t last long on the palate, so the beer disappears fast.
