Perpetual IPA (Imperial Pale Ale, not India Pale Ale). In our constant evolution as a brewery, we’ve developed a drive to meld artisanal and mechanical. Perpetual IPA utilizes our hopback and dry-hopping to engineer a bold Imperial Pale Ale. We’re always testing the boundaries of modern brewing.

Soapy white head with a crystal clear light amber body. This beer is piney. Full, nice hoppy palate. This is a great summer IPA. REALLY fucking good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Max’s. Pours a faintly hazed gold with a medium thin white head. Big bright citrus, lots of lemon and citrus peels, toast. Medium bodied, grain and wheat, musk and toast. Lots of musk, big grain. Easy drinking, big musk and citrus. Long bitterness.

On tap at Benjamin’s. Great hoppy nose bursting with aroma. Apricot, pine, grass, citrus and fruity notes. Mild sweetness. Medium amber orange clear with light haze, topped with foamy white lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts dry with bit of pale malt sweetness. Big bitter notes through but not harsh. Bitter finish with smooth bitter after.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2012 Golden-orange hue with a thick white head that leaves nice sticky lacing. The aroma didn’t do much for me and the taste had a bit too much of a spice in it, but overall this is a good beer. *Re-rated. This beer is so complex, that it needs multiple tastings to fully appreciate. The aroma and taste are better than I originally gave it credit for.

Pours a translucent gold with a thin, white head. Good lacing. Floral hoppy aroma. Do I detect cascade and centennial? I think so. Effervescent mouth feel. Hop bitterness pronounced in the taste, but not overpowering. Great IPA.

Ar: Lemon, red grapefruit, hints of sap and pine. Ap: Clear golden - medium white head with good retention and a nice cap of lacing. T: Light sweetness with orange and pine up front - lemon, grapefruit rind, and hints of berries (strawberry and blueberry) - high bitterness, but very clean - finish is citrus rind and a little mint. P: Medium body with medium-high carbonation - finish is firm and dry. O: Stellar 2xIPA - intense and complex mixture of a bunch of wonderful American hop aromas and flavors and superbly drinkable - really showcases the hops.

Draft @ Parish Cafe, Boston, MA. Pours a dark yellow color with a fluffy white head. Nose is very fresh, grassy and floral hops with a light citrusy note. Palate is light and playful, with a refreshing finish. Flavors of citrusy hops, grassy hops, some light biscuity malt notes.

Draft at Mugs Ale House in Williamsburg. Wasn’t a big fan of this one. Yellow gold, big white head. Rosemary and herbs, hops, sour dry lagery hop body. Sparkly and dry, OK.

Had a pint on tap. Excellent stuff. Just a very well-balanced API, with balanced hoppiness and alcohol that didn’t show.

355 mL bottle. I was surprised to see this beer listed as an IIPA here. It’s gotta be a mistake. I would rate this highly as an IPA, but it does not stand up as a double. It’s a good IPA, or very good pale ale, with resin and citrus in the aroma and flavour, and a decent if uninteresting malt backbone.
