Pours a nice amber with a 1/2" head. Very nice strong aroma of honey and citrus hops. Medium bodied with a nice smooth palate. Nice IPA, especially for the price.

This is a wonderful example of an imperial IPA, amazingly smooth, with beautiful blend of hop flavors (which isn’t easy to do).

Aroma- sweet malts, caramel, hops, light aromatic fruits Appearance- copper colored, nice, thick white head Taste- like Nugger Nectar, only less harsh, more fluid taste Palate- mouth-coating, slightly syrupy Overall- Extremely close to Nugget Nectar yet more sessionable. Must be had fresh though. Mine was bottled in mid-September and tasted excellent.

Pale copper with a white head. Strong citrus and floral hops, light sweet malts in the aroma. Medium body. Flavor is full of bright citrus and floral hops, sweet malts, pine. Such a bright and refreshing beer. Lightly dry, bitter finish. More please.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 A: Light orange-straw colored body. Good clarity. Large fluffy white head. Significant lacing left behind on the sides of the tulip glass it was poured into. S: Bright, assertive hops. Strong citric notes consisting mostly of orange and grapefruit. Some floral notes and a hint of pine. Inviting. T: The hop profile from the nose extends to the flavor profile. Clean, fresh fruit. Oranges dominate with some grapefruit and lemon rounding it out. Again, a strong floral, slightly resinous character comes and goes. M: Smooth, perhaps a little thin. Carbonation was appropriate. Moderate bitterness in the finish. O: I really enjoyed this offering from Troegs. Super-fresh bottles certainly does not hurt here! Should be interesting to see how subsequent releases compare. Would not mind this becoming a regular offering!

22 oz. bottle. Bottled: 08/10/11. Batch #110714. A slightly hazy amber pour with a thick and fluffy antique white head. A pleasant aroma of juicy oranges, mangoes, citrus rinds, pine, caramel, spice, and some floral & herbal qualities. Goes down relatively medium-bodied, yet crisp and refreshing. Some semi-sweetness upfront taste-wise with a little caramel maltiness in the mix. A tad crackery in the middle. Plenty of juicy grapefruits, tangy oranges, and citrus rinds at the end. Kinda herbal, floral, and definitely zesty. Never too bitter, too dry, or too big. Very tasty.

Bottle from tripphop on BA. Pour is light golden in color with a small white head. Maybe a touch hazy. Pine and citrus in the aroma. Some orange shows up. Big hop character in the flavor. Pine, floral like potpourri, some caramel, and a nice bitter kick. Pretty damn good. Would drink again.

Very pale straw-golden colour with a thick white head. The aroma is awesome. Lots of bright zesty/piny hops. Grapefruit and orange peel with a little bit of really bright zesty lemony hoppiness with an almost noble type of zestiness. Fresh and bracing with a clean pale malt base. The balance of hops is what really makes this one stand out. It’s not over the top and it’s not really resinous or anything but this combination of fresh cut grass, herbs and a lot of citrus resin really pops. Clean malt stays out of the way and everything is just dialled in. Damn, this is awesome stuff!
