Perpetual IPA (Imperial Pale Ale, not India Pale Ale). In our constant evolution as a brewery, we’ve developed a drive to meld artisanal and mechanical. Perpetual IPA utilizes our hopback and dry-hopping to engineer a bold Imperial Pale Ale. We’re always testing the boundaries of modern brewing.

Cloudy golden in color with little to no head. Also, little lacing left on the glass. Hoppy sweet citrus, floral aroma. Taste is of hops, floral resin, citrus, some hints of soap, bitterness. On the palate it is crisp and clean with light carbination. Bitter hops remain on the tongue for a short while. Overall a good DIPA that is very drinkable and an enjoyable summer beer.

12oz bottle pours a totally clear hold with one ring of white head. Nice zesty aroma, garlic shoots, leafy veg, citrus, hop pellets. Flavor is nice, hop pellets, earthy, dandelion, citrus, grapefruit zest. Medium bodied zesty finish.

Bottled 6/8/12 so it’s pretty fresh. This pours a golden color with a thin white head. The aroma is dank and hoppy, with pine, citrus, and some grass. As it sits more of a sappy resin scent emerges. Crisp and bitter citrus hop flavors with sweet caramel malt supporting. Some pine and catty notes mix in. Fairly dry in the finish. Very drinkable. At 7.5% this really does drink like a standard IPA rather than Double but I am good with that.

Strong hoppy aroma with a nice golden color and white foamy head. Strong bitter flavor and a metallic, acidic aftertaste that blasts the roof of your mouth.

Draught growler. Strong hop smell. Citrus hints that linger leaving acidic aftertaste. I think grapefruit. Overall a nice drink.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2012 Sampled on draft at Smokin’ Joe’s this beer poured a golden-amber color with a medium sized creamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was strong pine resin and catbox. The flavor was very bitter pine, resin, catbox and a strong tangy malt presence. The finish was long and tangy with lingering resin and catbox. Moderately full bodied. Not my style.

Bottle from Secret Santa. Thanks man! Pours a solid clear orangish yellow with a small white head. Aroma of strong citrus hops, mild cookie dough malt backing. I also get nice floral, grass and herbal hop notes in the nose. Flavor is dry, very bitter. Lot of bitter tangerine rind and grapefruit hops. Some herbal and floral notes as well. Balanced somewhat by bread dough and cookie malts. Medium bodied, well carbonated. This is pretty great. Wonderful DIPA.
