4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
They seem to have done a great job taking all the bitterness and making it blend together smoothly. Amber color and can sense the abv in the nose. What troegs does well is creating sweet malt backdrops to pump hoppy bitterness into. If you love nugget nectar this one is for you. Granted the dry hopping gives the body some smoothness. Not sure I am a huge fan of aftertaste though with its caramel biscuit tone.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured into a snifter.
4.0 A: Lightly hazed light orange color. Three fingers of dense foamy white head. Retention is about average and lots of honeycomb lacing is left.
4.5 S: Lots of tropical fruit in this. Mango and pineapple are the frontrunners with some grapefruit and orange underneath. Really pungent with a touch of cat piss and resin and also somewhat earthy. Malts add balancing neutral sweetness and are clean overall. The Troegs house character is evident though mild.
4.0 T: Moderate bitterness. Hops are tropical citrusy, earthy, and pungent. Orange and grapefruit are strongest with pineapple and pine in the background. Malts are biscuity though clean. There’s a little crystal malt in there and some balancing sweetness. No evidence of booze.
4.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Reasonably creamy and super smooth.
4.0 D: Good beer. Another solid offering from Troegs. I super hate the label art, but I can get over it.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle… Clear golden ale with a small, fluffy, white head. The aroma furnishes big honey, toffee, and citrusy hops. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Grassy, floral, citrusy hops are well-supported by a sturdy malt backbone. Grassy, moderately bitter finish. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
THOUGHTS: Tons and tons of hops, but not harshly bitter. It actually reminded me a little of an ale version of an imperial pilsener. It was a little amazing the way it was that hoppy and that light in color. Very nice. And you can’t beat the low price. Tons of hop complexity. Decent balance.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, light gold with an average to large, foamy, slightly off-white head that mostly, but slowly diminished and left excellent lacing. The aroma had moderate cracker, pale malt and white bread; moderate to heavy lemon, orange, apricot and nectar hops; lighter pine and grapefruit hops; and light yeast. The initial flavor was light to moderately sweet and moderately bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet and heavily bitter with a long duration. There was bread, cracker, biscuit, citrus hops, apricot, tangerine, pine, orange, a little grapefruit, lemon, a little yeast and something almost like honey. The medium body was a little oily and then dry and also a little sticky on the lips with light to moderately fizzy carbonation and a very dry finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Big thanks to ksurkin for this bottle. Bomber pours crystal clear copper with thin gold hues and creamy to bubbly off white head. The aroma offers up bitter grapefruit juice, lime peel, some spicy hops and sweet to almost caramel malts. The taste is nice and citrusy with tangelo, near ripe orange wedges and grapefruit. Around the flavor periphery I get thin rings of spicy hops and sweet malt sweetness. Nice IPA.
