3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice golden semi-hazy color with an almost pure white head that has great lacing. Aroma is nice blend of citrus and fruits. It could be a little stronger. Flavor is initially a light bitterness with citrus and pine notes. It ends with a nice alcoholic bitter finish. Mouthfeel is full and carbonation is average. Overall this is a solid IPA but could be a little stronger and there could be a little more taste.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very fragrant with citrus, floral, and candy watermelon prominent. Slightly sweet with mild bittering finish. Clean and balanced level of carbonation. Somewhat delicate, it doesn’t seem to stand up as well with food.

Draught @ Albion. Clear dark orange with small off-white foamy head, faint grassy hops arima, low carbonation, slightly sweet hoppy taste, long finish with lightly bitter ending. Quite smooth and accomplished as an IPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear gold. Nose of citrus and pine hops, dry with good malt backbone. Not as aromatic as I’d expect and this is pretty fresh. Smooth and easy drinking.

A: Pours a rich orange tinted gold with not much of a head but nice lacing.
S: Grapefruit pith and some lightly roasty bread. Light scent overall
T: More pith than grapefruit in flavor with a good malt taste underneath which saves this beer in my opinion. Nothing else to report but alcohol which doesn’t seem to bring any flavor. Underwhelming as are most "imperial" things I have tasted.
M: Good medium heft and average carbonation.
O: Seriously not my cup of tea. Not much scent. Taste not terribly good. Oh well...

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Kind of a flimsy, hazy straw poured from a bottle. Aroma is not terribly hoppy, kind of a sour smell. Flavor is mostly bitter with some floral honey/corn syrup leaking in on the back end. Thin in the mouth. A bit of a let down from Troegs in my opinion.

Very light body. Bitter light flower taste. Refreshing and drinkable. You don’t notice the alcohol at all.

A pretty good IPA. The character of a double. Light amber, rich maltyness necessary to balance out the hop assertiveness. Tried in DC courtesy of Kevin in 2015.
