Perpetual IPA (Imperial Pale Ale, not India Pale Ale). In our constant evolution as a brewery, we’ve developed a drive to meld artisanal and mechanical. Perpetual IPA utilizes our hopback and dry-hopping to engineer a bold Imperial Pale Ale. We’re always testing the boundaries of modern brewing.

Super passion fruit on the nose. Waves of fruity citrus goodness. Followed by a hoppy slap to the face. Love it.

Bottle: Clear gold with a small white head. Wet grass aroma and a bit musty as well. Average hop flavor with a semi-metallic aftertaste. Solid bitter aftertaste. To me, this falls into the category of a solid IPA but not outstanding.

A golden yellow-orange with medium small white head. Aroma grassy and citrus hops and a bit of malt. Medium body. Slightly carbonated. Flavor herbal and piney hops, moderately bitter, bit of malt sweetness. Not that complex or anything but good balanced, well made and very drinkable.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2014 On tap at Blackwall Hitch Restaurant in Annapolis, MD. Pour is golden. Aroma of citrus and hops. The taste is more hops and pine than the citrus. Good beer.

Smell of hops. Clear golden colour, high white head. Aroma of alcohol, citrus, hops, earth. Bitter. Flat and mid-plentiful carbon. Mid-oily texture. Slightly stinging, could benefit from lower alcohol content.

Throws a near-clear deep yellow, under a finger of fully diminishing white head. Big aroma of caramelized malts and resiny/fruity US hops. Smooth and chewy in the mouth. Healthy body. Taste is substantially bitter. Not overdone, with piney and fruity flavors, and a rich semi-sweet malt body to back the bitterness. An archetypical American IPA. Good stuff. On tap at Troegs. Pours a clear golden apple juice color. Aroma of grass and citrus. Flavors of tropical citrus and melon. Not much malt character to this guy buy the hops dont overpower. Good stuff.

On tap at Ledo. Pours a clear dark golden with quickly fading head that leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is hop bitterness, slight lemon citrus and muted malt notes. Flavor is classic IPA, with hop bitterness and solid malt backbone. Alcohol is not masked, which leaves a slight finish of booze and acidity.

12 oz can popped in our RBSG Hotel Room courtesy of a coworker. Thanks, Tony. Pours a decent golden orange hue, gentle haziness with foamy offwhite head, big cakey layer with good stick around, nice lacing. Aromas are firmly hoppy, more floral, some decent soap and grass meet some grapefruit rind, a bit of bread, clean and hoppy. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a bit grainy with some melon, gentle white grape. Some gentle florals, a bit odd and yeasty into the backend, some florls, firmer bitterness and sweeter bready malts, a touch of biscuit. Backend is a bit bitter, grapefruit and some oxidation, deadened hops, gentle fruit elements. A firmer hopping, not as enjoyable of a combination for me. Touches off bread, gentle sweetness and earth. Bitter, pithy grapefruit. Not bad but too big for me overall.
