COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Perpetual IPA (Imperial Pale Ale, not India Pale Ale). In our constant evolution as a brewery, we’ve developed a drive to meld artisanal and mechanical. Perpetual IPA utilizes our hopback and dry-hopping to engineer a bold Imperial Pale Ale. We’re always testing the boundaries of modern brewing.

Bottle. Pours transparent golden with a mild white head. Just as you’d expect, citrus hops on the nose with slight malt coming through as it warms. Floral hops shine through at fist taste again the malt hardly comes through at the end of the glass. Alcohol is disguised well. Have another? Sure

Kind of a flimsy, hazy straw poured from a bottle. Aroma is not terribly hoppy, kind of a sour smell. Flavor is mostly bitter with some floral honey/corn syrup leaking in on the back end. Thin in the mouth. A bit of a let down from Troegs in my opinion.

From notes on 3/15/15 Very light body. Bitter light flower taste. Refreshing and drinkable. You don’t notice the alcohol at all.

Pours a light golden color with white head. Citrus fruits, sweet malty flavors and lots of hops, finishes sweet then a lingering dankness.

A pretty good IPA. The character of a double. Light amber, rich maltyness necessary to balance out the hop assertiveness. Tried in DC courtesy of Kevin in 2015.

Bottle to glass, poured a bright clear yellow with white head. The aroma is very nice and crisp. Medium malt nose, nice citrus and a touch of grass in the hops. The flavor is nicely blended malts and hops perfect bitterness from start to finish. Excellent example of style.

Could be a little more aromatic, but is sooo smooth for 7.5% abv. Really nice crisp, smooth beer. Not too much citrus either.

Hazy orange body with thin white head. Citrus and floral aroma. Nectarines and grapefruit come through quite strongly. Tastes of fresh herbals, pine, and touch of sweet honey. Well-balanced with a nice crisp finish.
