Apr 7, 2008 Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Nice malty aroma. Taste is nutty with a bit of chocolate on the finish. Body is a bit too thin and watery.

Apr 4, 2008 Love a good brown ale and this didn’t disappoint. Solid across the board with a nice finish and good flavors. Not as flavorful as the Rogue variety, but a nice brew.

Mar 31, 2008 Dark brown slightly clear pour with a white head. Typical malty aroma with some chocolate. Good easy to drink flavor. Brown malt with a bitter aftertaste. Some nut and chocolate tones. Decent brown, though there are better. Way too thin and it could use some more carbonation. Overall drinkable and enjoyable, though the flatness almost ruins it.

Mar 29, 2008 It’s a decent brown ale that lacks a little in body and hops, but it’s a smoother brown than most, and has a good nutty quality to it unlike most chocolate brown ales.

Mar 11, 2008 Bottled. Wonderful roasted malt scent, with caramel, nuts, and chocolate undertones. Pours deep ruddy brown reminiscent of its eponymous trails. Same full bodied tasted that was expressed by the aroma with hints of hops and strong chocolate nutty finish.
