Good loking dark brown/black beer, no head to speak of. Thin in body and a bit watery in flavor. The kind of beer I might drink if I was doing an all day party. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2006 Clear amber-brown body with a fading, sudsy beige head. Sweet warm caramel and toffee aroma. Flavor has notes of caramel, light fruit, and chocolate with a subtle edge of roast in the finish. Medium sweet and pleasant. A nice brown ale and another solid beer from Tröegs. Pairs reasonably well with a cigar. ryan (1775), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 8, 2006 Pours brown with ruby highlights and a tiny, off-white head that quickly fades to a cover. The aroma is caramel, toffee, bread with a touch of golden raisins. The flavor is nuts, toffee and green grapes. The mouthfeel is light and thin. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2006 Thanks to DocLock for this one. Pours a dark red / brown with a faint head. Not much of an aroma. Maybe a little nutty. Only 4.4% so it went down real fast. Flavor is very mild malts and roasted nuts. The bark is worse than the bite. Not bad though. bitbucket (2031), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2006 Bottle shared with after4ever. Thanks! Pours a clear dark amber with an off-white head. Light body with restrained carbonation. A bit of molasses in the nose, and a bunch more in the taste. It sort of creeps up on you as you get closer to the bottom of the glass. Some nutty notes as well. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 1, 2006 12-oz., thanks BeachBum25! This is a nice inoffensive little brown--great session beer. Pours crytal clear amber brown with some fluffy off-white suds atop. Fairly vacant nose, some decent caramel and slight nuttiness on the palate. Clean finish. You could put away an awful lot of these without thinking too much about it. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
