Jun 25, 2005 Bottle. Reddish brown color with quickly fading head. Still, lots of aroma, like burnt nuts. Unimpressive at first, but flavors developed as my hand warmed it up, so probably just served too cold.

Jun 8, 2005 12 oz. bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown color with a light tan head. Nice nutty aroma along with some malt, both of which also come through in the taste. Creamy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable.

Jun 7, 2005 Interesting nut brown. Deep smoky malt flavours in the nose, also detect some molasses and alcohol. The flavour isn’t quite as deep with the typical nut brown style. I enjoyed the nutty flavour against the hoppiness not often found in a nut brown.

May 24, 2005 not nutty enough, flavor was decent, but not the kind of beer that really says anything,however flavor does get better as you get closer to end of bottle.I would say like anything it’s worth a try!

May 5, 2005 i was expecting something better. mouthfeel not tremendous. kind of a metalicy flavor with the nutty maltyness. far too thin with little depth.

May 5, 2005 Bottle. Bottled on: 06/04/04. Ruby pour with small sandy head. Roasty, nutty and somewhat sour aroma. Caramel aromas make an appearance by the end of the glass. High level of carbonation really gets in the way of the flavor. The maltiness is apparent but not overpowering and the nuts seem to be there only in trace amounts. Some bitter hops in the finish. Too thin.

May 4, 2005 12 oz bottle: Deep coppery brown w/a short lived off white/light beige head. Lightly roasty aroma w/ caramel, but stronger than the toasty and nutty aromas, and has hints of milk chocolate as it warms. Well balanced and lightly chocolate up front. Caramel and toasty beyond that. Medium sweet finish, chocolate aftertaste; low fruitiness w/ some brown sugar in the palate. Seems a bit over carbonated and light bodied for a brown, but it’s smooth. Not a bad brown ale but nothing exciting. I like it as a session beer though!!!!
