This is a nice brew. Not heavy on any one particular aspect. Good, well balanced flavor without being too boring. It has a nice sweet roasted malt flavors and a ltittle bitterness too. This is a very drinkable brown ale. Hmmm. I just drain it all and dont have anymore. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 4, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours dark brown. Tastes malty and soapy. Not much to this one really. It’s OK but not that memorable. j12601 (1217), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 18, 2009 On tap at the Beechtree. Pours a deep clear brown with a medium beige head. Nice stout or porter like aromas of roasted malt, with a hint of coffee. Medium bodied and with more roast coming through, and a touch of sweetness. Finishes with a nice roast bitterness and a little bit of grain. Somewhat one dimensional, but not terrible. JediMindTricks (240), Hampton, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 8, 2009 Pours a nice reddish brown. Aromas of toasty malts, brown sugar, and nuts. Flavor is lightly sweet malts and a nice touch of hops, and a nutty finish...it is what it is... yobdoog (1431), Woodridge NY, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 3, 2009 Even though I don’t love really nutty nut browns this one is balanced by sweet malts, almost brown sugar like with a little roasty bitterness to balance it out. Light and easy.
