Strong tastes of chocolate, molasses and a roasted flavor combine nicely. Very good overall. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA

Smooth going down with an average ale flavor. I expected much more nut flavor to it. Great brew, I will defiantly buy this again. pobenohne (504), Northern Liberties, Pennsylvania, USA

"Nutty richness" is front forward. Full, rich and round mouthfeel. Very pleasant. Derek881 (502), Frederick, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2008 I had this beer on draft at a restaurant in Gettysburg, PA. The beer had a dark brown color with a tan, creamy head that had good cling and retention. The aroma was a mixture of chocolate and caramel malt notes with nutty scents present too. It had a sweet, slightly nutty taste with only a bit of bitterness. The body was slightly on the thinner side, a bit wet and watery, without a lot of feel. A decent, but not memborable beer. halfonit (488), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA

This has all the normal character’s of a brown ale but seems to be a smoother version of all that I have had. It almost seems like a lighter version of them. I’ll stick with Dogfish Head’s Indian Brown Ale or Woodstock’s Pigs Ear. grandet (486), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2007 Draft: pour is dark brown with little head, aroma of chocolate and malt, flavor is mallty, chocolate and coffee, nicely balanced. Very good brew. biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Pours a nice bronze color with slightly off-white head. Head dissipates really quickly. Aroma is not real prominent, but has somewhat of a malty character. Taste is a little bland, but the beer is very smooth. Mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side. Nothing spectacular, but very drinkable.
