Jun 16, 2003 Deep, dark, woody brown with a big marshmellowy head. Vague oaky aroma. It's mellowly flavored with only vague nuts, more smooth airy finish than anything. Bummer.

Oct 11, 2004 Poured a clear brown color with a fluffy off white head and light lacing on the glass. Aroma of nuts, caramel malts, and light roastiness. Taste was mildly hoppy, with lots of malts and nuts. It had an average mouthfeel.

Nov 30, 2005 Dark ruby color with a thin head. Dry malt aroma with some maple syrup floating around. The taste is laden with bittersweet malt. A slightly nutty finish.

Jul 1, 2002 Excellent appearance. Nice big fluffy beige head which stays until the beer is finished, leaving traces of fine bubbles and foam along the sides of the glass. Nice toasty aroma with hints of cookie dough. Palate and flavor were good but there was a slight watered down feel to it which took away from the full flavor. If they made this a little stronger- with more flavor i think it could rate up there with the best browns.

Mar 3, 2008 Draught at DBA in NYC. Dark amber color, offwhite head. Roasted malty nut aroma, smoke, tar and licorice notes. Malty flavor, chocolate, roasted, some tar. A bit thin. Malty choclate finish.

Jun 6, 2008 My bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry -- courtesy of Thaichile. Pours ruby-brown with a small diminishing frothy tan head. Aroma’s nutty and toasty along with chocolate, caramel and light hops. Flavour of caramel malt, nuts, notes of chocolate and some light hops in the finish. Perhaps a tad watery. Medium bodied. Pretty good -- nothing outstanding here, just a good Nut Brown.

Dec 31, 2005 12-oz. bottle via trade with kramer17801. Pours dark nut brown with a small tan foamy head that diminishes to a patchy film. Nutty caramel malt aroma with a maple and raisin nose. Nutty malt and light chocolate, cocoa flavor, brown sugar notes and a light yeast finish. Medium bodied and fizzy palate.
