Apr 9, 2006 Thick pour with a dark brown color, ¼” head. Well carbonated and full bodied. Smooth going down with an average ale flavor. I expected much more nut flavor to it. Great brew, I will defiantly buy this again.

Aug 1, 2001 What Newcastle would taste like...if it had taste. Light brown head, deep, dark, mahogany color with a deliciously enticing roasty, buttery aroma. Malted chocolate flavor with a perfect amount of hop bitterness in the finish. Quite smooth, reminding me somewhat of a cream stout. Terrific.

Mar 7, 2002 I really like this one - I drink it when I visit my parents’ house (they live a few blocks from the brewery in Harrisburg). Not quite up to Sammy Smith standards, though.

Feb 22, 2004 Caramel richly dark in color, solid and moderately opaque, thin dark ivory head, faded quickly with tiny lace spots slipping right back in. Smell is roasted sweet malts, tangy of dulled oranges with floral hop notes, nuts and honey. Taste is mildly roasted and tangy sweet malts, steadfast and quick on the buds with lingering nuts and hops into the finish. Solid tasting brown, good medium body with a bit of carbonation and ziz with flighty airyness in through the finish. Pretty solid brown, easy drinkin', mild and filling.

Aug 9, 2006 pours with a small head that gets thin but does persist. Very nutty, almost TOO nutty aroma. Vaguely - oh I don’t want to say it....... I like the flavor. very good nut brown. Nice mahogoney color. good body. very drinkable. Got it as a gift from friend Paul B. Thanks man!

Dec 17, 2006 12 oz bottle from sample pack.. poured a nice light brown with nice head. Nice nutty flavor and a full finish... Will drink again

Poured dark brown with little off white color head. the Beer tasted light, not thick like i’m used too. Aroma I detected was of a toasted nut. Flavors when cold were nutty almost like a toasted walnut. As it warmed I got nutty chocolate flavors. Overall, I really enjoyed it’s smoothness. It was very easy to drink. I’ll be getting more
