Apr 8, 2002 Nice, rich red color with a very mild, slightly metallic aroma. It has a rich caramel beginning, but a slightly bitter and somewhat watery finish. It’s a decent beer, but nothing I would seek out.

Mar 30, 2003 Updated: Aug 15, 2003A handsome, sparkling clear ruby ale with a medium-sized, frothy, khaki head.
The aroma is excellent. Buttery milk chocolate and toasted pistachios and almonds.
The flavor is malty with chocolate and roasted nuts predominating... much like the nose.
Well-balanced, but thin and watery.
Light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation.
Crisp, clean finish with some coffee notes to finish things off.

Mar 8, 2003 Light brown head, short lived.Dark brown color showing ruby red with some light behind it.Great clarity,pretty beer.Medium body,good mouthfeel,nice carbonation.Malty,bready flavors with some slight diacetyl going on.Good drinkin brew.

Apparence: La couleur est brune avec une moyenne densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col pétillant avec une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de malt chocolaté avec une pointe de caramel.
