A: pours a slightly opaque vibrant orange color. pure white head with wonderful lacing and a rather nice retention level for the head.
S: wonderful lager aroma. mostly lightly sweet malts with a decent amount of hops. reminds me of some long weeks in late September.
T: very nice german marzen style flavors. light malts, but solid fruit notes, mostly apples. very light flavors, especially with the hops. nice traditional marzen though. very close to style, some American influence.
M: medium bodied for the style. solid flavors and very smooth. slightly thick as it warms though.
D: very good drinking oktoberfest marzen. smooth and mellow, and delicious. well worth trying.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 nickd717 (3242) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUL 19, 2010
12oz bottle via trade thanks to dashirey on BA. Pours a hazy medium amber color with a fading one-finger off-white head. Aroma is sweet malt, bread, apple, and sherry oxidation. Flavor is old and oxidized with sherry, but still nice. Munich malt and honey sweetness with sherry, spice, and earth. Medium-bodied with average carbonation. Not bad for a two year old Oktoberfest. Not bad at all.

Thanks to mikereaser for this one in a trade!
A-Body is a very foggy amber golden color. Pours with a 1/2 finger white head that fades to a thick collar but has great retention from there. Traces of lacing are left all the way down the glass.
S-Earthy and a bit nutty with a good amount of malt.
T- German malt and hops come through first with a bit of nuttiness and caramel in the background. The finish has some hoppy flavor but nothing over the top. Some nuttiness lingers on the palate.
P-Medium to high carbonation and a smooth, light, drinkable body.
O-A bit of a different spin on an O-fest but still nice to try. Hoppier than most I have come across and a bit lighter in color. Still enjoyable nonetheless and something I would like to see Troegs offer as a seasonal. I split this 12 oz bottle with my mom (she loves O-fests) and she really enjoyed it as well.

Thanks Jason for sharing. The beer pours to a nice lightly hazy orange copper body with a thin white head. The aroma is autumn leaves and maple buns. The flavor is sweet maple buns and nougat with a light typical o-fest malt. The palate is medium bodied and mouth watering. I thought this was a pretty solid o-fest.

Thanks to Rich for the bottle. Poured medium orange with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up semi-sweet, toasty caramel, hay, and some darker fruit with sweeter vanilla on top.. just a hint of earthy hops remained.. quite pleasant. The flavor had the same caramel and vanilla at the core, picking up bready character.. a little dry earthy bitterness around.. mostly sweet on the finish. Lighter-bodied with solid balance on the palate.. slightly tangy and sweet, with good play between the two. This was aiight.

Bottle thanks to machfive55. Gushed slightly upon opening and gives a slightly hazy light orange body with finger of creamy off white head that dies quickly. Lightly sweet and spicy typical Marzen malt aroma. Some vegetal notes. The body is a slightly bitter caramel maltiness. Grassy. Not much else going on.
