3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
translucent amber, puffy ring, oily white cap. Manure dominant nose, spruce and lemon zest in background alongside cleaning agents. Dirty grain front palate is confused, light apricot and peach growing stronger growing strong through mid. The same dying dryness as 142 in the fizzy finish, light coin and mineral again as co2 dominates grain husk variety in the end.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at brewery tap room. Pours light orange with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Has a bit of pine on the nose. The tongue is a little more pine needlish. Finishes pretty clean. I could see this being a decent session ale but I don’t know if you’d just want one of them.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had this one on-tap today and it was a bit better than the cask but still just ok. Updated my scores accordingly.
Served via Firkin at the brewery.
A - Pours golden orange with a nice two finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving sticky rings of lace down the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of grassy hops, mildly toasted caramel malt, a bit of tropical fruit and some light sweetness. Not as hoppy as I was expecting it to be.
T - Starts off with some smooth caramel malt sweetness and some light grassy hop bitterness slowly being joined by a bit of fruitiness and some mildly toasted bread. Finish is a mix of malt and hops, lingering long after the finish.
M - Medium body with moderate to low carbonation. Smooth feel from the cask makes it very easy to consume.
O - A decent enough session IPA. Most of the flavors have been muted by the cask, one of the main reasons I don’t like IPA’s in casks. I will have to try the draft version when it comes out soon.
