Scratch #37 features Warrior and Cluster hops with a touch of Columbus. It pours a bright gold with a white cap and soft carbonation. Ripe fruits are present on the nose, and continue in the taste giving a lush, tropical papaya-like flavor. This ample bitterness is offset by sweet Munich malt that lingers through each taste. Enjoy our latest IPA foray, and stay tuned for future experiments in the style. Research has rarely been so rewarding.

12 oz bottle-pours a white head that laces and gold color. Aroma is sweet tropical fruit, light/medium malt-bready/caramel. Taste is sweet tropical fruit/some pine/resin hops with a gentle bite, light/medium malt-bready/caramel. Slick mouth feel. Good carbonation.

Received in trade from DavoleBomb, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a crystal clear deep golden color with a thinnish white head that disappears almost instantly leaving no trace of its existence. Smells quite malty for an IPA, bread and caramel mixed with hints of citrus mostly lemon and grapefruit. Maybe some tropical fruits or pineapples thrown in there as well. Taste has hints of bitterness but again is quite malty. Sweet fruits, toffee and bread mixed with hints of lemons and grapefruits. I get more hop punch in the taste than I do the aroma but it is still quite mild for an IPA or maybe my palette has just given up. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a sweetly resinous mouthfeel. Solid easy to drink, but certainly nothing spectacular here. Alcohol is well hidden

Bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head, light sticky lace with a mild retention. Very hoppy body. Pine, and honeycombs, citrus with mild malty backbone. A bit sweet seems under attenuated as first but with how bitter and floral it finishes i wasn’t disappointed either. Very bitter and resinous. Nice offering.

Bottle picked up at the brewery and poured into a pint glass. Pours a light orange color with a single-finger white head and a touch of spotty lacing. Light cap as it goes down. The node is some light peach without any real bitterness. Not much other than that. The taste is pretty similar. There is a lift amount of peach but not really much else. Maybe a touch of citrus. Slight bitternesss and a medium body. Not the best IPA, but it is really easy drinking. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 12-23-2010

12oz Bottle Pours out cloudy straw topped with a small head. Aroma was quit the hop mix, citrus, tropical fruit, floral, pine, along with some light caramel sweetness. Taste was all the hop mix along with the malt backbone to hold this one together.

Poured into a snifter. When I first had this, it was super fresh and incredibly dank, so much so that it was unrefined. 3.0 A: Hazed orange brownish color. Just a little over one finger of creamy off-white head that fell fairly quickly and left sparse touches of lacing. 3.5 S: Interesting. It’s not hop forward anymore. It’s not malt forward either though. Tropical fruits from the hops - pineapple, orange, some mango. Caramel malt is fairly intense and lightly bready. 3.5 T: Taste follows the nose, for the most part. Low to moderate bitterness, caramel malt, some breadiness, but otherwise clean yeast. Pineapple and orange of the strongest hop components along with some grassiness. 4.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Reasonably creamy and smooth. 3.5 D: I like what has happened to this beer since it was fresh. The hoppiness has decreased quite a bit, but the beer is much more refined now. I think a few of these scores could have easily been a half point higher. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-27-2011 04:10:48

12 oz bottle from DavoleBomb. Pours a hazy dark golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma is tangy citrus with some lighter floral notes and sweet malts. The flavor has a pale and slightly sweeter malt base with more tangy citrus and tropical fruit. Mild bitterness with a softer finish. This was decent, but nothing really stands out.

12oz bottle provided by Sean, drank from a perfect pint glass... Pours a super ugly light clear straw. The head is watery, not much there... The aroma is the weakest part of this beer, totally dead, nothing on at all... The taste is ok, light pine, nothing new or fulfilling. I realize this is a touch old but not going anything for me. At this point I’d recommend passing on this.

Bottle. Poured medium almost milky golden with a short-lived beige head. The aroma picked up orange and pineapple upfront, with a sweet pale and fruity malt backing.. nice spicy citrus right on the back of the nose. The flavor found the same bouquet of mostly citrus fruits.. orange, pineapple, and passion fruit gave both sweetness and zesty bitterness.. bready malt backing supported well.. finished with peppery notes and citrus along with some residual sugars. Medium-bodied with an interesting and intriguing hop presence leading.. I enjoyed this one.

Courtesy of Mora2000. Clear amber color/ ivory head. Nice grass, caramel, floral hop aromas. medium bodied. Floral, pine, grassy hop flavors with a caramel malty base--good.
