2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap, pours a somewhat clear, gold, thick head and decent lacing. Notes of corn lager, yeast, straw, wheat and other bland flavors. Some spices present as well. It was refreshing but that’s expected with lagers. Alright.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear vibrant yellow with a thick foamy head. Taste is smooth and refined. A touch of sweetness up front finishing with a subtle peppery spice in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Refined. Too bad it’s a one off.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Served on-tap at the brewery.
A - Pours clear amber orange with a nice one and a half finger tall white head leaving spotty lace down parts of the glass.
S - Smells of spicy belgian yeast, black pepper, dulled fruit and some sweet caramel malt. Kinda sweet smelling initially growing spicier as it sits in the glass.
T - Starts off with a bit of sweetness from the caramel malt quickly giving way to hints of black pepper, dulled citric fruit and some spicy belgian yeast. Finish is a little chewy with some light spice, lingering on the palate long after consumption.
M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Plenty of peppery spice throughout. The feel is probably the best part about this one.
O - My least favorite of the three PBW beers. Nothing overly bad about it, just not my style of beer. With so many good options on I doubt I would come back for another.
