Bottle from Capone’s. Starts out more bock, than finishes more helles. Pleasant enough than finishes more drinkable. Medium yellow coloured body, a little lace. Good carbonation. Smooth, well rounded.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hopscotch (8217) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Bottle... Clear light-amber ale with a small, tight, white head. The nose is a malty, spicy marriage of tea biscuit and white pepper. Medium-bodied and thin with nearly-expired carbonation. True to style, the flavor is mostly sweet – honey malt - flanked by only a trace of hop bitterness. Finishes sweet and a bit tongue-numbing. I really don’t like Heller Bocks... or Notre Dame football. Bottle courtesy of growler!

Draft @ the Ale House. Pours a light golden color with a finger or so of fizzy foam. Aromas are slightly bready pilsner malts mixed with some light fruity notes. On the palate its clean and refreshing and tastes just like it smells. a bit heavy on the mouthfeel due to a lack of carbonation but a decent session beer with a touch of noble hop bitterness on the finish.
