Pours a hazy orange-amber with an average size diminishing frothy off-white head. Aroma of yeast, dark fruit, spices, some toasted malt and some alcohol. Flavour of dark fruit, caramel malt, spices, some hops and alcohol. Medium bodied. Pretty good. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Feb 10, 2009 Bottle (12oz). Shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Clear deep amber pour with a smallish frothy head. Sweet medium-roast malt aroma, with a hint of oil-based paint and floral bitterness. The taste was frankly odd - not bad, but all over the place - like apple jack, cocoa, marigolds and alcohol. Light-bodied and still, noticeably astringent, with a pungently floral/bitter finish - not a bad brew, but a tad weak.
