Served on-tap at the Brewery.
A - Pours slightly hazed copper orange with a nice one finger tall white head leaving spotty rings of lace down parts of the glass.
S - Smells of juicy citric hops, spicy rye, bready malt, pine resin and some light tropical fruit. The fresh, fruity character goes a little dull toward the end of the glass, otherwise a really nice nose.
T - Starts off with a big citric hop bite that never really fades away. Some chewy / spicy rye comes in mid palate; combining with hints of pine, fresh citric rind and some lightly toasted caramel malt; to help rein in the intense hops. Finish is quite hoppy with some light chewiness, lingering on the palate long after the finish.
M - Medium-Full body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, slightly chewy feel with a ton of hop bite from start to finish.
O - I am not the biggest fan of these rye hybrid beers but this one worked really well. The rye offers a nice break from the intense hop bitterness and helps keep things balanced. I am glad I got to try this one before it disappeared.
