Damico (162), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 3, 2008 This was good, but not great. The new bottle with a happy shining sun may have a subliminal effect on a beer lover giving them an impression of lemon and summer ale flavor to come, but that is not the case at all. It is a smooth pilsener with an easy finish, but more overall flavor than that of mainstream Pilseners you see commericals for everyday. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Jun 3, 2008 Bottle, Thanks to MySpace friend Kevin.
Pours a clear straw yellow with fizzy white head. Aroma is ok, my bottle had a slight skunky hop smell. Flavor is of light malt and a slight bitter. Mouthfeel is light body and high carbination. Not bad at all, seems like a nice small refreshing summer beer.....I’d prbably drink this more if it was available in my state. Naka (524), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 1, 2008 On tap at the Coney in Indiana, PA. A pale golden color with a thick frothy white head. A sweet grainy smell with a small amount of bitterness. Perhaps a little citrus-y. The flavor is rather grassy with some light crisp malts. Very drinkable and great for the summer months, but not really anything special about it. An average pils. afireinside96 (807), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA May 18, 2008 Had this on tap last night at the White Rose in York, PA. It was a light golden color with a generous white head of fine bubbles and had a light slightly floral malty flavor. Hops were present in the nose, very grassy and herbal, with some malt sweetness becoming noticeable as it got warmer. Quite a nice summertime drinker and very refreshing. BeerZack (116), Austin, Texas, USA May 16, 2008 Pale straw color, rough pour barely brings a one-finger foam that quickly settles to a thing bubbly covering that doesn’t lace much at all.
Not too much smell. Sweet and kinda funky grain smell, white bread, a bit dank.
A bit more flavor than I expected from the smell of things here. Honey and bready light malts balanced by some grassy and minerally hops.
Smooth, almost creamy, but the carbonation does sting a bit, light-moderate body. Drinkable, but slightly subdued American Pils. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA May 14, 2008 Updated: Feb 11, 2009Bottle. Pours clear and yellow, with a creamy, fluffy white head. Major bubble action going on in the glass. Aroma is grassy, a bit herbal, with a definite crisp citrus zest. Taste is a bit of biscuity malt up front, which trails off to a grassy, bitter hops finish, some lemon rind. The bitterness is by no means overwhelming, but it sits on the back of your tongue for awhile. Palate is dry, crisp, with a moderately high carbonation appropriate to the style. ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA May 13, 2008 Pours yellow and clear. Thick white head and moderate lacing. Lots of bubble rising to the surface. Grassy aroma. Clean and crisps with subtle hints of hops Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA May 13, 2008 Pale yellow, quite light in appearance, nice white head, pefectly clear. Flavor is sweet pale malts with a slight honey accent, with a big dose of hay and grassy hops. The hops are both up front and on the finish. There is a very faint slightly fruity note, perhaps lemon, just not sure, that is also in this beer. It isn’t bad, but it detracts from the clean flavors I like in a pils. Overall though, an interesting expression of a hoppy pils. Aroma I should note is also dominated by grassy hops.
