mansquito (819), Boston/Philadelphia, USA May 12, 2008 Pours fold with a foamy white head, which sticks around long enough for me to appreciate it. Lemon and grass aromas. Pretty bitter, finish goes from bitter to bready. Really crisp and pretty nice. I like it certainly. What a pilsener ought to be like. ndfreak77 (76), USA May 12, 2008 Updated: Jul 9, 2008I’m not sure why this is so higly rated. I had this from a tap a the local watering hole and it tasted like a pine cone. I normally love troegs and I don’t hate pilseners. Maybe I got a bad batch. pineypower (1076), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA May 9, 2008 Pours out a clear light golden color with a small to moderate slightly fluffy head. Aroma is of grassy hops. Taste is refreshing a nice balance, of course leaning towards the saaz-like grassy floral hop taste. This will be a good beer for the summer, will have to pickup more. notalush (2627), Denver, Colorado, USA May 6, 2008 Crystal clear, light golden beer, with a frothy, lasting head - moderately floral and grassy aroma, with strong noble hop presence - crisp and peppery, with a nice saaz bite - mild, bready pale malts - hops become stronger as the beer dries out near the finish, leaving behind a floral, almost herbal flavor, as the dryness makes the mouth thirsty for another sip - a solid pils. wcampbell (572), Central, South Carolina, USA May 5, 2008 Great summer beer. Highly drinkable and refreshing. Grassy pilsner taste, but with a lot more going on. Crisp hoppy taste. Not much malt flavor. Simple palate. Light bodied. NIce bitterness in the finish. PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA May 5, 2008 Updated: May 31, 2009Bottle: Pale light golden/ yellow topped by a white head. The aroma has lots of fresh pils, light cracker and tons of crisp grassy/peppery noble hops. Light fluffy body with a crisp flavor. Has some mild biscuit notes and a dryness throughout. Grassy and pleasantly bitter saaz finish. Solid profile and extremely sessionable. Extremely underrated Pilsner. popdoggy (100), USA May 3, 2008 yahoo for troegs, again. i have yet to be disappointed.
this is a perfect spring beer easy to drink, and if a little lesser abv then perfect session.
the drinkabiltiy and mouthfeel are the highpoints. iride15 (169), Orlando, Florida, USA May 2, 2008 It’s a typical pils from a company I wouldn’t expect typical from. The head dissipates fast and the hops are lacking. A dry beer that isn’t worth looking for.
